After a hectic few days getting organised we filled the Dunk Tank with Gunge this morning and had the lovely Harley G join us for her first time being dunked. That actually comes as a consequence of not mixing the gunge powder quickly enough, i have found the water needs to be really hot to disolve the powder correctly. The lumps are gross, they are like lumps of porridge, very sticky and hard to dispose of.
I expect if you're going to mix 130 litres of gunge, these lumps are inevitable. The only the way around it would be to mix up 15 or so individual buckets then pour them into the tank, but you'd have a fair bit of wastage and it would be knackering.
The tank actually holds 1500 litres of Gunge so doing it like that is a non starter. It takes around 40kg of powder so would be a nightmare to mix like that. The gunge has settled a bit overnight and is less lumpy but is the thickest gunge we have ever had in the tank. The guy who was here this morning struggled to get out of it as it was so thick.
