Icing coating. My hair is blue. I often have these problems. Just use icing or frosting and coat your hair in a protective layer. Then, bobs your uncle
When our people have freshly dyed hair, we just throw the cost of another box of their regular dye in, on top of the model fees. When someone is washing their hair three or four times a day, colour washes out. So best solution is just re-dye afterwards.
My wife and I will pick up bottles of cheap hair conditioner and soak our hair in it when we know we'll be playing with something harsh like flour and water, not sure if it helps preserve color though.
We just let it happen. Makes it more fun. Hehe My wife did just get more blonde and purple in her hair. And the next night she wanted me to ruin it. Oh and her hair dresser is aware of what we do. Lol
This is a big one and since my hair used to be Box dyed I didn't worry about it but now however like today I went to the hairdressers and I payed £60 for root colour (to cover the greys) I have had many many foils during the last 2 years to lighten it using bleach and olaplex. So I have some blonde in there which kind of scares me that if I used gunge it would colour the blonde strands but I have seen a few models gunged with colours and no one has ever said it was a problem. I do use gels and mousse for curl definition so I hope that would offer some protection.

same. my hair dresser actually now tells her clients (since she saw it happen to me and i told her about it) that have gone "too dark" to "use shaving foam!" bc that will rip your color right out.
clay mud? harsh. everything is pretty harsh on it wam wise so i have a dark color...but I have some blonde underneath....that mud strips that blonde. makes it more bronze but eh.
i have sometimes where i look put together. lol. !!!!!

Bronze sounds like a good look for you. I'll never forget when you did the red highlights!
I started dying my hair something like 6 months ago? The only way to "not ruin" it is to avoid washing...my hair gets greasy feeling pretty fast, I can go every other day without washing it, then I feel like I have to. Dry shampoo might help? I've never tried it. I have tried a shampoo/conditioner that are supposed to keep color vivid, but honestly, doesn't seem to do anything. Also tried this color conditioner/shampoo stuff that is supposed to boost your color too, also doesn't seem to do anything. I do a purple dye. It's really purple after I get it done, but after the first wash, it starts to fade to a dark blue/purple galaxy kind of thing. Eventually just goes to a teal blue. I've never tried any other dye, I kind of like the way the color fades into different shades...I get about a month out of it before I have to dye again.

LoL that must be interesting. Did your hairdressers give you shit about it when they found out?
