I booked a private gunge-tank experience with Goop Quest @barefootgunge with my wife.



Let's be honest - doing this for real could have been awakward. But J the studio owner immediately put us at ease - it was fun from the very start. Both J himself and the studio were amazing. The studio was impressive. The experience was a sexy, adventurous bonding moment with my wife and I.

The host was charismatic and made it fun from the start.


My wife got in the tank, enjoyed playing the games, which had a real sense of fun tension due to the imminent threat of gunge. There was nudity involved (we checked ahead of time this would be ok) - which added to the overall thrill on multiple levels (it felt adventurous, added to the "playful humiliation" aspect of the gunge tank, and was sexy).

There's no comparison between "at home" play and doing it for real somewhere like Goop Quest - how it drops all at once from height, the setup, the sense of theater from the well designed & delivered games. Everything was brilliant.



My wife agreed to go as a "good sport" and kind of as an xmas gift to me. But she genuinely enjoyed it. She said it felt very adventurous - and this thing we did together.

I went in myself for one of the rounds and my wife appreciated that - like we were in it together, bonded by a shared experience, rather than it being just her. There's a playful soft-humiliation built into a gunge-tank which makes you nervous but it's a very safe environment. (Advice to men in particular: man up and take your medicine on this. No excuses! If you're going to ask her to do it - it's only fair and will affect your partner's experience!)

We were surprised at how adventurous it all felt. Let's face it - doing this for real is a *significant* departure from normal life!

This really could have been awkward but J from GoopQuest was SUCH a good host - an incredibly charismatic and fun guy - that he made me and more importantly my wife feel super relaxed and just made it fun for us (with the appropriate amount of tension from the gunge tank itself!). I definitely felt J was someone I could get a beer with, and my wife thought so too.

We are definitely considering doing it again - either with GoopQuest or maybe with another studio which will have us.


Needless to say I give both the concept of doing a gunge-games experience with your partner and GoopQuest specifically a 5/5.


I would *hugely* recommend Goop Quest for any couples -- or anyone who wants that experience!

Did you guys start out clothed or was it it naked from the start?

We did it nude. Added to the experience for me. Obviously you need to check with the studio you book.

Would have been even better if there were games where nudity was like part of the quiz forfeit or something.

I should probably ask them this rather than asking you, but while I think about it, are Goop Quest set up to gunge two people in the same tank at the same time - or, alternatively, to have some sort of setup where two people know that one of them is about to get gunged but not to know which one?

You would have to ask. They offer custom games (for an extra fee to cover the time IIRC). There's a tank and a vat so you could possibly be each sat on one not knowing which will activate, but I'd imagine you're well into custom-package territory there. Don't want to speak for them.

Did you have any sexy time in the gunge? I'd always wanted to do it while being gunged, only ever done solo stuff before.

No. It was a professional set and would have been inappropriate (there was also a clear house rule).

We've got our videos to spice things up at home though.

Both the tank and nudity felt daring in a "truth or dare" kind of way. Green, purple and orange. She took most.

She's not into WAM. She did it purely as a gift to me because she's generous and amazing. However she did get a kick out of the adventurous, daring nature of doing something so far outside of your normal comfort zone. And she enjoyed the games and the tension of it. She mostly just likes seeing me at my largest.

I personally wouldn't have dared do either the nudity or the tank, except:
1) the host put us at ease
2) my wife who is SO adventurous and fearless gave me the courage to follow her in. (I mean could I really wuss out in that context?)

For me participating was was definitely a "stepping up" and being brave thing rather than a thrill but I am glad I did it. You absolutely shouldn't ask your partner to do something you won't even do yourself. (While my wife looks like a model physique, I assure you nobody wants to see my fat body!)


I'm writing this up to try and help the studio because I think they deserve it & to help other couples find the courage to take that step. but I don't want to go into too much detail out of respect for her.

Your wife sounds like an amazing person. I do hope other couples follow your lead. Me and Mrs Piechap did a gunge tank session at Quizbob when it was operating (though no nudity involved and only I got messy), but I completely get what you're saying about it feeling daring and exciting - doubly so when nude I'm sure! Would love to do another one sometime, though logistics-wise Goop Quest would be a long trek for us.
