Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place - or why I'm posting it at all...
Does anyone ever wonder about Gunge meets from ages ago, who they aren't necessarily in touch with, not even sure if they are on UMD?
Handful of people I met with before I had a UMD profile, or was even online at home...think I must have met them through Yahoo Groups, or Splosh personal ads, or I remember a green coloured website called Gay Gunge?
Met a lad called James in my shared flat in Sheffield we had a small scale session. Also remember meeting a lad called Robbie on Oxford Road in Manchester, who had left the buckets of Gunge cooling overnight in the yard...so I got a freezing gunging!
I'm guessing that most gungy folks have migrated towards UMD over the years...but if you're out there and we've met, hope you're well!
You're an old romantic. I respect that. Well, maybe that's not quite the right word - but the fact you still care about people you had one-off wam sessions with years ago and think of them from time to time, care about their wellbeing etc., says a lot about your character. Those weren't just empty transactions for you - it wasn't just sexual but emotional too.
What an interesting topic, and something I've been thinking of a bit lately, too - partly because I have, on another site, crossed paths again with someone I played games with about sixteen or seventeen years ago. I'm not sure how messy they were, I don't remember that kind of detail as my "thing" was always playing the game rather than caring whether the forfeits for losing were stripping, or something messy, or something else. But it was interesting how we have both started chatting again, and how we might at some point try to go for a rematch if the stars align and we end up in a reasonable proximity to each other geographically.
There's also someone I played games with about eleven years ago - just the once - that I have often thought about since, and would dearly like to get back in contact with. I know that he got in a relationship a few months after and he stopped coming online, and then we all had to switch from msn to skype and we lost touch. It's a great shame, I'd like to know what he's up to etc. Sadly, games werre his "thing" too, and so not much chance of him turning up here. I keep an eye out on other sites, but never come across anyone who I thought might be him. A great shame.
Hey thanks for response! Crazy circumstances for the meet in Manchester. I was there overnight on something completely unrelated- wedding I think. The next day I was feeling a bit gunge-tastic and passed by an internet cafe so went in and was in some chatroom...don't think it was even Gunge specific one. Lad called Robbie said he had loads of Gunge mixed ready for a solo session and would I like to join. He was less than 2miles away...so we just randomly met. In hindsight I know if probably advise a few more saftey checks first...but remember having a great time, such a laugh, one of those rare 'right place right time's things. Due to circumstances I've often found it hard to get out of town for a session - but this was great. Anyway buddy - if you're out there, thanks!

Do you remember the meet in Scarborough on a weekend in November 2011 when there was about 10 of us?
Yes I do!! What an absolutely crazy 24 hours that was! Chatted with a few people from there on here since then. I was so nervous but really nice crowd. I did lose 'Custard Pants' game though.

Ah, the memories!
Yes, indeed that is where I first met you. And after getting messy back at the flat you enlightened me and Dave with anecdotes of working for Grand Central lol
Oh, also...are you here?!? Scouse lad, who lived briefly in Sheffield, Richmond/Handsworth area?? Dead sound, Everton fan I think, we met on Gaydar, loved his kit and Gunge as part of Dom play.
If so, say hi?!!
Seem to remember you moved to Leeds?
I just seen to think most folks into Gunge ever will have migrated to UMD over the years....
