Why is the world so logically inconsistent about takings risks for entertainment purposes?
Either put Coronavirus as your top concern at all times & don't do a messy gameshow at all, especially one involving pies in the face, or acknowledge that the risks of spreading the virus during the short period of time: 10 minutes tops - are so small that you won't spread the disease, and remove the face masks.
The pie-r should/can still wear a facemask. The person being pied won't exhale anyway while being pied. The pie victim can then put their mask back on afterwards.
Why did Saturday Night Live (SNL) return to a live studio at all? Yes - it has taken major precautions against spreading the disease: rigorous testing of audience members & everyone entering the building. But inconsistently I see cast members, hosts, & musicians wearing masks and other times not wearing masks. If you're going to go through THAT much trouble, then just continue doing episodes from home like they did in the spring.
