There is a link to a google maps area of places people have tagged for mudding spots.
I wish we could get a sticky on this because there is at least one thread a week asking for good spots for mud. There may not be a tag for your area, but it's still a good resource.
The Humber mudbanks contain some amazing mud, and there's two spots I've been to before, one is a night time only spot as it's close to a footpath and yacht club, but the other is good during the day too as it's pretty rural.
The best mud I've come across is Brough, the channel where the yacht club is. The mud here is very deep and very soft, there is also a car park pretty much next to the mudbank. Beware this is a very public place but at night it's pretty dead.
The other area is the tidal flats of the Humber further downriver, you can park up on the road near Stone Creek House (Cherry Cobb Sands Road) and walk along the coast path, the mud stretches out far here although there is a deep tidal creek close to the shoreline. There is a member here who has posted videos from this creek, I've also taken my wife here before and had pretty noisy sex in broad daylight, it's so secluded nobody around for miles so well worth the trip. Mud is slightly better at Brough though.
