Nice catch! I saw it years ago (maybe on a crappy dub from a Hurley tape) and that's much better than I remember. I think the improved quality makes a difference.

Also, I enjoy the fact that Laugh-In and I apparently use identical cakes. The more things change.....

Good catch. I only had a poor quality version on an old VHS tape and so I recorded all the shows currently being aired on the DECADES tv channel...and for some reason they excluded this clip....so I am glad you found it.

Sometimes things elude us for decades....e.g. I never knew there was a great mud fight on the old Aussie tv show "Skippy" featuring Liza Goddard and several guys in a mud pit. Rob Blaine never caught it and the scene never aired in the cable tv airings that I saw....and then recently I downloaded a dvdrip of the entire series and found there was a mud scene that had been undiscovered for 49 years.

Yes, great (full) clip...what I always found puzzling (and frustrating) about Laugh In was it's utter lack of messy sight gags (pies or whatever)....especially given the splashing (bucket of what dousing) done semi-routinely...but I never saw this clip growing up (that I can recall)...had I done so, it would surely have solidified my crush on Goldie (and fueled my adolescent fantasies, no doubt).

Well there was one other pie scene on Laugh In that I was not aware of until I DVRed the entire series....that was in one of the later season episodes where Patti Deutsch was pied with an overhead pie dropped onto her ....ala 3 Stooges

I did not make a note of the episode number, but Patti Deutsch only appeared in Season 6 (the last season) of Laugh in....so it is in one of the 24 episodes of Season 6.

(something else to add to the Holy Grail wish list)..another sight gag I never saw...but I should point out: there was ONE pie gag (a fruit pie) that Dan Rowan pulls on Dick Martin...not sure why they chose to do it with a very non messy pie (defeats the purpose of the gag, imo)...but there it was.

I got home late last night and needed to wind down, so I scanned ALL the Season 6 episodes (somehow). It... did not show up.

I'm gonna re-scan more closely when I have time (or just watch all the damn episodes in order) but a 50-minute show with no plot and scenes that barely last 10 seconds? This is needle-in-haystack territory!

After the Goldie scene, notice they have a scene from Edward Scissorhands!

Thanks to all involved for finding and posting! As one of the most vocal read: pain in the ass noodges asking for this scene it's teally great to see it in better quality . I wish we had seen a full frontal clean shot of Goldie before the cake hit bit at least there's a very brief moment of a clean profile. Historic to see a future movie superstar get messy at the peak of her sexiness. And love the micro mini waitress costume and her hairdo..and the facial coverage and splatter all over the costume is awesome for me . Thanks all
