So does anyone know what is up with friends once you've been an invisable profile? I understood friends were lost, but now upon re-adding certain friends I get a message saying I've tried to add them before, and therefore can't.

UMD remembers previous friend requests, and won't let you repeat another request to any given user. Even if your friends list was wiped because you changed to an invisible profile. I do have plans to change it so that you can at least add back old friends you had before. But that change would be a while off. Sorry about that!
