Thinking about doing a challenge with white cake batter made various colors using food coloring. But I was wondering if the food coloring would stain skin and/or hair. Not concerned about staining clothes, and only slightly about staining the tub, but anyone with experience who can advise would be appreciated. Salt and pepper hair with the pepper fading, if that makes a difference.
Why use food colouring at all? You won't be eating it! You'll get a better colour from non toxic powder or poster paint - and strong colours without the needless risk of skin dyeing!
food colouring and paint do sometimes stick to dry areas of skin, but don't freak out if this happens, you're not really truly stained as this is only on the top dead layer of epidermis and easily removed with any exfoliant (loofah, body brush, plastic puff things, exfoliating mitt) or just make sure you are well moisturized before starting
Thanks for all the great information everyone, it will be very helpful. Funny you mention Pride Month Jason: pride flags are what my challenge is going to be based on. I think to be safe, from the information provided, the penalties will be with pastel representations of the colors, rather than trying to match the deep hues of the pride flag...looking more like a rainbow from pink to lilac rather than crimson to violet. Will be posting soon in "If you can catch me" under the Wam Games group.
