You inspired me and countless others to become musicians and influenced so many who make our musical landscape what it is. We have lost a legend today.
Yes we have. I remember their album Autobahn for some reason, maybe just because it was so different. I know they influenced David Bowie and one of my all time favorite 80's bands, Berlin, but they were decades ahead of their time. If Devo existed in the late 60's, they would have opened up for Kraftwerk! The resemblance in their presentation was total thievery. Well, except for the jumpsuits and flower pots on their heads!
A great loss. The range of Kraftwerk's influence on just about everything that followed can't be understated, they truly were pioneers. Go in power, you changed music, for the better.
