As of today, almost all of the UK has manged to go a whole 24 hours without a single Covid related death. This is possibly the best news that we've heard in ages and a good sign that better days are getting ever closer. The vaccination program has clearly been a huge success so far and long may it continue. Although we're still not out of the woods just yet, it does feel like we are very much in the final lap out of this pandemic.
Absolutely. This news does need to be taken with caution and we may find ourselves in a situation where we may need booster vaccines in order to keep the virus under control. It may become like the flu where we need a jab every year to deal with that year's strain, but we'll gradually develop some minor natural resistance to the virus from repeated exposure.
