So my girlfriend has been willing to indulge me by letting me pour cake batter slime over her, but she's not a huge fan of green, and has expressed interest in doing blue or purple slime instead.
The only colors our local supermarkets stock in decent size are green and red. Does anyone have any suggestions for blue or purple food coloring online? There are obviously a million options, I'd specifically like something that someone here has actually used before to make sure there are no issues with staining, etc.
Jello. If you're looking for blue and purple just use blue raspberry or grape jello. Before its mixed the powder may stain fingers, but once mixed in you're fine. One box jello per 2-3 boxes of cake mix does pretty well, depending how bold a color you want. Kool-aid can be used too.

Thanks, folks!
Try kids paint. If it is ok for kids then it shouldn't stain....and I think you will get a much deeper colour.
Depending on the product if you don't want it to stain but have colour, some paints wash out and can give the colour you want mixed with the substance. This then becomes a question of what the substance is and is it eatable or not. Some food dyes do wash out while others stain badly. Queens label has a good line of food dyes and need to test 1st on an old rag before using good cloths, as some of these will stain badly on certain materials.
