My VERY clever hubby has been making some amazing sex machines in his workshop.
The latest one he just started is the sex machine from the PC game Honey Select 2 - pic attached.

He should be selling these things! The one he is building now is nothing short of beautiful. All stainless steel and carbon fibre, with cameras, touchscreens, lighting and so so many naughty toys.

It's big, so I reckon its the kind of piece of furniture that would go in a fetish hotel, or maybe to people with the money to appreciate these kind of things. I mean, this rig should be 10k any day of the week (where are you Mr Grey?)

Just wondered where he should sell them? I thought of an Etsy store, but not sure that is the right place.
Perhaps I should just get him to open his own online store?

He has had a rough transit through Covid and still struggling for work, so I think this should be his new business.

He doesn't make the WAM machines any more because people don't want to spend huge amounts on something a bucket can achieve. Shame, because I also think there is a small market for him there too.

I'd guess the best way to market something like that would be through a booth at one of the big sex / fetish fairs like FetishCon, but that's liable to be expensive. Other than that, probably having a website with a contact form, and also attending fetish events like Antichrist or The Torture Garden and handing out leaflets / flyers - and certainly at Antichrist you always get given a bag of flyers for other events, some significantly more niche, which might also be good options for sales networking.

Caveat, I know nothing about what you described, but find it fascinating!

If people really are making such state of the art sex machines, I imagine the market is basically super-high end fetishists who live the lifestyle and are keen to have a lot of customization. For 10k+, I'm sure the initial investment to even begin working on one of these things is significant.

If he's already capable with the mechanics and engineering side, it might be good to focus on devising a PO system that secures capital and has some amount of contractual agreement regarding cancellations, such as no returns, only service/repairs, etc.. Otherwise, if he tries to sell more than a few of these, he's going to get burned on a bad deal, unless he's planning on having a warehouse full of them ready to deploy, but I am guessing it takes a lot of time and materials to construct something like that.

I agree with DungeonMaster, I'd be trying to get as direct to the fetish market as possible and there's alot of whales at the big conventions. Since you're not trying to mass produce these, you want to land the whales when you have the chance. Just be fully prepared to have a plan about what to do when they finally say "OK, I'll buy one, what now?"

But I gotta ask, is it really feasible to make a real version of the machine you've shown? Or is it similar, but an approximation? That thing looks intense, lol.

Well they are built as 'one off' units. No two items he builds are ever the same.
He was watching me play about with Honey Select a while back and when he saw that machine, we started sketching out how to build it.

Yes.... it looks very similar to the one in the picture. He just started making the sex toys part of it this week. He doesn't like the commercial (and expensive) standard fucking machines.

Not sure I'll ever get him to go to a show. I think that does have the possibility of him being overwhelmed with orders. It takes a fair few months to build these rigs.

He has only ever made a few pieces 'to order', and he made a contract and took a deposit to cover the materials.

He rarely makes the same thing twice anyway. Maybe he would if they sell... but truthfully, not many people have the space for a rig like that.

I asked him last night how much he was going to sell it for. He reckoned 5k would be fine. Personally, I think it should be more but it's his choice.

I also asked him why he doesn't sell sploshing/wamming equipment. He did make a short run of 'GooTubes' a while back, but at something like £150 each, he made zero profit.
He also made a gorgeous clear plastic gungetank for someone, but again, no profit,

Maybe a range of simple gungetank release valves, drop tanks, etc

He is so damn clever it's just wasted. He made a goo gun a while back that you could aim over the internet with a live camera feed. A person logged into the 'gun' on a webpage and could aim + fire it.

That machine looks amazing sadly I couldn't afford one this side of a EuroMillions roll-over!
When it's built you should DEFINITELY make a video of you using it as even those of us who can't afford to buy the device itself would definitely want to get a video of you using it so we can at least dream!

May I just say, your old videos were amazing (I got them all the first time around) and I'm very much looking to purchasing anything new you release!

I thought I saw a post from Steve outlining some of the ideas he has for machines/kit for wamming, (particularly with random timings) But I can't now find it. Has it been and gone?

Yeah, I don't think Etsy is the right market. I don't know what fetlife is like anymore, but maybe there is someone on there that runs a dungeon or something.

I think that's your best bet though. Find people that HAVE businesses like dungeons, play houses, etc. I think those would be the places not only the most interested, but with the most budget to throw around on something like that.

Also, now I'm having throughts about putting a shower stool with a dildo on the seat in a giant tire, stick Jayce in it, and push her down a hill
