England 2-1 Germany England created history by winning their first major women's tournament in a dramatic Euro 2022 final against old rivals and eight-time champions Germany at Wembley.
Substitute Chloe Kelly poked home a loose ball from a corner to send the raucous record crowd of 87,192 into a frenzy with ten minutes of extra time remaining.
She waited for confirmation of the goal before taking off her shirt and waving it around her head, while being lifted by her team-mates in a moment of pure elation.
On a monumental day in the history of English football, Sarina Wiegman's side showed they were equal to anything a strong and physical German team threw at them.
Great to see the Lionesses win though, and at a full Wembley which is very much deserved.
I live in a smallish village and the FB group already has "Where can my daughter play in a football team?" questions. Fortunately we have such a team/league for all ages :')
As a proud Scotsman all i can say is well done to the English Ladies was totally well deserved and I was even routing for them watching the TV. I just hope Saturation Hall dosent celebrate by rounding some of the footballers up and spraying them with gunge

If any of the Lionesses want a nice relaxing gunge bath in a classic English Manor house, dressed in their football kit (with or without shirts) I'm sure we can oblige.
Though our preferred style for sports kit is a bit more 80s, and remember the absolute mudbaths there used to be in front of the goal-mouth on football pitches - even big professional club ones - back in the late 1970s? Here's Maude doing a perfect demonstration of our idea of how to treat football kit: https://saturationhall.umd.net/download_info/shiny-nylon-shorts-mudbath-with-maude
