Firstly huge thanks to Robert for sharing this. I love it.

Secondly..they know what they are doing, I think. Great open-mouthed reaction by the victim, and then pan away to either laughing or shocked reactions. I's done very well.

Interesting too that all of those shown in the reaction shots were women.

How Emmerdale has changed - you'd never get this in the days of Amos Brearly and Seth Armstrong when the only woman under 50 was called Dolly.

And Corrie, too. You could have called it "Drunken granny needs a ciggie ", and nobody would have batted an eye.

I'm sure the script writers at Emmerdale have a WAM thing... last year there was another paint scene!

The main UK Soaps have all had a few good scenes over the years.
Corrie/Hollyoaks/Emmerdale and Eastenders have had soakings/cakes and food in the face/paint and food over the head and mud scenes.
Think it's more just something that happens than a WAM fetish.

There are several Emmerdale scenes which come to mind. Nicola being pushed/falling into the outdoor pool in her business suit, a couple of mud wrestling scenes with the younger girls. I don't watch the soap anymore as it is getting tooridiculous for words.

Yes, I think it's that when a woman gets her comeuppance, it's more acceptable if it's humiliation rather than physical pain.

Hope someone was able to record it in full HD as only have HD on itv 1 and was repeated on itv 2 which I don't have in HD in freeview.

Yes, I remember a decent muddy catfight on Emmerdale once between Roxanne Pallet and Sammy Windward. Sammy was wearing a smart white suit too.
