It always strikes me that there is so much equipment available for the BDSM community, from harnesses and restraints to spanking paddles and special clothing which enhances the experience. Likewise, there are dozens of dedicated fetish items available for latex lovers, from masks and underwear with internal dildos, to sleep sacks and bedsheets.
I am interested if there would ever be a market for dedicated WAM clothing and equipment? Most of this so far has happened by happy accident - the likes of clear jeans, clear plastic pants (incontinence pants), general latex and neoprene clothing that lends itself to filling, swimsuits etc. But there isn't really anything you could buy in a sex shop that is designed for the WAM fetish.
OK I grant you that Messy Supplies is probably the closest thing we have so far to a dedicated WAM shop, but the only real EQUIPMENT they have is the goo shooters, so I'm deliberately discarding the mess itself as part of this study. I guess I'm thinking along the lines of clothes designed for filling, or sex toys designed for messy play.
Really, there's a lot that could be done. Some examples:
- A half moon shaped plastic ring that would be inserted into the waistband of underwear, effectively holding them open for all manner of slop to be dropped in from above
- A rubber/neoprene/close-fitting catsuit or sleep suit with a tube into which slop is poured, so that the clothing is specifically designed to be filled up with mess via the tube
- A heavy duty pump that will handle mushed up food and custard, so it can be pumped into clothing, but at a cost and discreet size that would allow it to be sold from a sex shop
One item that is available of course - completely waterproof vibrators!
Has anyone else thought of things like this and if so what ideas have you come up with?
An inflatable pool with harness points so some very (un/)lucky person can be strapped in and thoroughly destroyed with all kinds of mess. Inflatable pool with detachable liner for easier cleanup. (the bottom of the pool is also inflatable- adds extra padding when slipping around in it!)
A pump and clip-on shower head- so you can readily turn any shower cubicle into a gunge tank. Or a clamped design to mount on the shower curtain rail?
Also for gunge tanks- a bucket with a fitted pull-release plug.
On the simpler side of things; a messy set of Nookie Dice- instead of touch/caress/lick and bum/nipple/groin the first dice is pie/gunge/splat. (And probably a tonne of other games to make messy).
I was just thinking about pumps the other day for wam. They actually arent too expensive. You can look at getting a sump pump if your mess is super thick or has chunks of stuff in it. Most sump pumps should be able to handle that and should have sufficient power to shoot it up back into a gunge tank if you like.
On the smaller scale for strickly thinner slime, home brew shops sell small pumps for transferring hot liquid during beer brewing. That might be an option.

Pool with harness points? See picture. Also the dice, there are quite a few places that sell blank dice or ones you can put your own designs on.

....I never would have considered using an inflatable raft like this. I guess it really pays to think outside the box sometimes. This has opened up a lot of possibilities. (and one more to the list of "stuff to get when I have my own place")
So in terms of Sploshing accessories there's really four categories of stuff: Substances, Clothing, Accessories and Major Equipment.
Substances: I know you're discarding the mess itself however there is a couple points worth noting here. Firstly that our messy substances are often our counterparts to some other BDSM toy. Whereas a BDSM practitioner may have say a number of different floggers as they each have a different feel or experience (ie whether their hit feels more thuddy or stingy) is just like having different WAM substances say custard and beans for different feels (eg. smooth vs lumpy). In the end when it comes to our differing versions of sensation play sploshers often use liquids where BDSM practitioners are using a solid toy.
Unfortunately the original thread was deleted by its author however a dedicated WAM store/service might be able to supplement the rest of its business if it could find a way to be a reseller for messy food beyond "best before" (laws where I am don't permit selling food past use by dates) dates that supermarkets can't give away to other causes to sell at discounted rates to sploshers instead of going straight to landfill.
Clothing: Whilst I'm sure you could find some people interested in dedicated WAM clothing I personally wouldn't be in the market for specialist WAM clothing. To me putting something on that had been specifically designed solely to be worn during a sploshing session is too premeditated/spoils spontaneity. For me when it comes to clothed WAM I like the clothing to either be: appropriate to the role play scene (ie office wear for a boss/secretary scene) in question or to be dressed up in such a way that they didn't expect to be getting messy (not necessarily because it is a total surprise I mean it can't ever be a total surprise considering the need to ensure consent but more in the sense that as there will often be a game in the scene and that they've dressed that way as they're confident they're not going to lose and they want to look they're best when they intend to turn the tables on you if they win). Essentially I love the spontaneity and uncertainty in a splosh scene and so specifically putting on an outfit that's only purpose is to get messy in is so intentional it robs the scene of its mystery.
However this is just my personal preferences, obviously there is loads of people with their own preferences which people can be really passionate about.
What could a specialist WAM store do in terms of WAM clothes? The fillable specialist WAM clothes will have some audience, though if this is the only thing a store planned to make and sell it's probably the sort of thing they could make bespoke and sell via something like Etsy rather than bother with a whole store.
Perhaps they could also stock some fancy dress items that correspond with certain popular scenes?
Or something I reckon might do well though would require some reasonable effort would be to check out charity shops for second hand clothing that might look good for WAM scenes that was going cheap that they might be able to sell on to people looking for something glamorous to trash in a scene or something.
Accessories: This covers things like you buckets and paddling pools and maybe things like games you can sell. I could go on all night and day about kinky game design along with some of the bespoke board and card games I've designed for people but I reckon it is a flood gate I best keeping shut before I gush all over this topic on it all I'll indicate is that blank customisable dice Silver_sea mentioned will definitely out sell any specific WAM dice even amongst WAMMERS as they can better customise it to their preferences.
Major Equipment: I'm sure this is what a lot of people would really like to be able to buy. The major equipment covers the likes of the Dunk Tanks, Gunge Tanks and for those looking to go old school (and when I say old school I mean medieval) with their messy bondage, the Stocks. That being said that last one you probably can already get from BDSM suppliers. Though BDSM furniture isn't exactly cheap either. But then that's because the more niche the market a store is selling to the more of a mark up they're gonna be sticking on prices to cover all their costs. (In a sense it might be fortunate that sploshing doesn't require much specialist equipment). For example even the likes of a St. Andrews Cross which for all intents and purposes is two beams bolted together with some restraints bolted near the ends looks to retail (excuse my very rushed search right now) for around the £300+ mark at the cheap end.
Now to put that in perspective about 10 years ago I built a primarily wood based collapsible/portable gunge tank that had an interchangeable tank top that could be changed between 4 medium sized tanks feeding into a single funnel for four different gungings or one large tank for a bigger gunging for around £200. And about 40% of that cost was because I wanted the fancy Perspex gunge vats on the top instead of cheaper vats or buckets. According to Bank of England's inflation calculator it would be around £262 now in 2021 money. And that's something that involved a lot more materials and technical difficulty to build than a St Andrews Cross.
Unfortunately I'm now living somewhere that doesn't have the space of facilities to build a new tank (and boy did I have some ideas for the Portable Gunge Tank Mk. II) but even if I did have the facilities it is one thing building a tank for yourself or bespoke for someone that you can train in how to use it properly and another thing to build something for the mass market and it is here that is the reason why we're unlikely to ever see a WAM store selling Dunk Tanks and Gunge Tanks because the problem is that whilst it is reasonably do-able to build for people you can reasonably trust to follow safe operating procedures when it comes to mass market consumers you have to assume they will ignore all instructions and anticipate any stupid shit they may think of to do (hence why you get things like toasters coming with warnings not to shove forks in them whilst on) and so you have to make the product idiot-proof and take out insurance in case someone finds a way to injure themselves on your product. And don't under estimate the insurance here, a gunge tank suspends a heavy tank of liquid above someone's head and a dunk tank has moving metal parts that theoretically some dumb idiot in the water tank too close to the mechanism when someone else is dunked could knock themselves out on whilst in the tank. As far as an insurance company is concerned both products could if improperly used cause death and so that will be reflected in the insurance costs.
Essentially when it comes to the likes of Dunk Tanks and Gunge Tanks either: build one yourself, hire someone to build a bespoke tank or buy one from these inflatables/games companies that make them for other companies. If you're hoping for someone to come along selling them to mass market they'll have to be insane/totally oblivious to the legal forces circling over them waiting to crash down on them at any moment.
fortunately most of the wam clothing for me consists of regular wear,
something i had thought of was a shopping trolley, like the box/bag type not basket, full it with stuff like custard or other splosh stuff then have a mechanical pump driven by the wheels to pump the custard into your clothes or underwear,
I suspect a lot of our desirable things are the sort of thing that not being able to pop to a shop to buy it isn't the reason we don't have it. More boing things such as the lack of space let alone money come first.
A form of gunge tank or pie flinger (self-loading) with an electrical release could be operated either playing a solo game or have multiple players with their own kit all playing live games. Two player games would be fun, things like the Numbercruncher with multiple players would be fun too. An electrical pump could of course be activated ina similar way to fill clothing.
The idea of a confinement type space that could be filled with mess pretty much exists already - latex vacbeds/sacks/cubes. They are designed to be airtight and have a connection for a vacuum cleaner to such out the air to pull the latex tight on the person inside. It shouldn't be too difficult to replace the suction with a pump and push in mess.
Something similar to Wamstructions or the Splosh Casino Home editions might work, you'd choose the game you want to play, the options, just WAM, stripping etc and then add in the mess you have and then off you go and as the game plays out, it tells you what to do, with the background coding having lots of variables to maximise the chances of every game being different.
