Better-than-average... I think these are all adults on some SBT soap opera, and all four women ranged from cute to hot. (Even the older actress.) And a decent number of rounds too (5). On the verge of being truly great, except...

1) The guys basically do a collapse worthy of Marco Rubio after getting up to 10 points. Poor poor poor.
2) Maybe just my personal pref, but... It's never as good when the women are the blue team. The camera angles are (sometimes) slightly better, but those yellow pies are more white than anything and, even when they cover well, SBT's tendency to overlight means the pied faces can sometimes blend with the background. For me, the only really great DL episodes where the women were on that side involved pie sandwiches with yellow AND blue... Which, of course, solves that problem.

On the plus side, a lot of wraparound pies from the guys. Finally! The third girl was my fave for getting owned.

Obvious MVP of the episode was Vargas, who got the most questions right against the women and administered the best pieings

Yep, his opponent (Sardina?) got as messy as almost any woman in recent memory. Again, her best pieing was the one that suffered the most from the "white on white" syndrome. (Any fans of Counting Crows?? No??)

Also, watching the individual breakdowns, there's something oddly humiliating about a hottie getting owned by a little person. It also eliminates the "males are stronger and shouldn't pie women hard" bias.

They've gone to this soap opera well a few times... The youngest girl was on before, apparently she has to wear flannel as per her character? Hopefully the next appearance will have the girls taking the blue pies. (They've kept the girls as the blue team all other times before, tho.)
The biggest positive? This cast is pretty comfortable with each other, so they don't hold back... Great pieings all around. (Their first appearance, the male "captain" missed SEVEN questions... In a row. The girl was spotless throughout... and showed no mercy. You couldn't even pick out his facial features by the end. If he'd been a woman it would've been the greatest mainstream pie scene in history. SIGH.)
