Although Ms Wells (a former Miss Nevada) never took a pie on Gilligan's Island, Mary Ann certainly provided the ammunition (coconut cream pies) for the others who did. After the show ended, she would appear in a local commercial in which she took a nice quick pie in the face.

I ran into her several times when she lived in Nashville. She was always the nicest classy lady just as you would hope for. I wasn't a Mary Ann or Ginger guy, I was both. She was also a supporter of the Elephant Sanctuary which coincidentally is located not too far from Camp MPV - Elephants.com . Below is a photo she posted to her Facebook account years ago from a scene that is familiar to all mud/qs fans.

As an adolescent while watching that show, I thought Ginger was sexier, but Mary Ann was the one you'd want to come home to. Of course, then there was that TV Guide cover with her in a paper bikini...

Well in some odd way I thought Russell Johnson would outlive them all, but only if unnatural causes befell the others. I guess anyone want to figure out which Beetle will outlive the other? Heaven forbid we try to figure out if Elizabeth II will outlive Charles....
