Stumbled across this on youtube. Cute guy 'volunteers' to be a part of their Freak Show in Scarefest from the audience (I'm assuming he was an actor and it was all set up) and ends up geting something sprayed all over him and getting a good gunging in the gunge tank. From about 3 minutes in in this video:
I'm gutted the camera moves away so quickly after the gunging and there's not really any of the aftermath as I would have loved to have seen it - if anyone is somehow able to find out who this guy is/any more content from this gunging or any others at Alton Towers that would be great!
Just from watching his initial reactions in the booth, I'd say it was a set-up with a friend of the actors - normally I would have expected to see him laughing or at least smiling, waving to his friends, etc. But nice gunge, however.
