**I posted this in Messy Forum as well, but as I don't know how many of you pop in over there, wanted to post here to get diehard Wetlook viewpoints. Plus, going back to when comic book heroes would pop up in each other's books, I'm a nerd for "crossovers" that bring two universes together!**
So, for me, Wet does next to nothing for me. Well, that's not true -- who doesn't love seeing attractive members of the opposite sex getting wet, whether nude or in some stage of dress/undress? But the "fetish" part of "W" does nothing for me, unless the girl is absolutely my "type" visually (which would be brunettes with big brown eyes, of the Phoebe, Winona Ryder, Rachel Weisz, etc. category). But to me there is SO much in life -- billboards, magazine ads, wet T-shirt pics, Facebook pics whatever -- that "Wet" clothing and anything adjacent just seems to be completely ubiquitous. I can see the love for something like a girl in socks and gym clothes in a shower, 1,001 variations on a theme to get the right outfit/look, but basically it's like "how is that particularly special"? Also: feels easier to get a partner into Wetlook than into the Messy side of WAM. (Keep in mind this is my perception, and not meant to be damning/harsh, it's part of my curiosity/why i'm asking.)
As for Messy, well -- i won't spend a ton of time in this post talking about it. I like pies a lot. I like slime quite a bit. Anything super "heavy" messy is good -- eggs and see-through substances, just not all that interesting to me. So, obviously, it's about the cover-up, the submersion/immersion re: to WAM that appeals to me, going back to playing in mud/dirt as a kid, making mud cakes & pies, seeing all of the well-known clips and shows (YOU CAN'T, THREE'S COMPANY, LITTLE RASCALS, ELEC COMPANY and on and on).
Long story short: Wet just isn't very appealing at all to me, beyond the attractiveness of the female form.
But I assume there are people who just come here JUST for Wet and not Messy, and vice versa.
Where do YOU stand?
Are both equally appealing? I've chatted with a few folks lately (like JD of JD & Janet) who seem to like both equally, and/or mixed together? (To me, wet look/water is only useful to clean someone off between messings, though i like the idea of a shower or jumping in a pool afterward, with intent of going clothed-to-unclothed.)
Does Mess intrude on/ruin the Wet if you're a fan of Wetlook? If you're Wetlook fan, does Mess have any correlation/connection to your interest, or does it feel completely separate in your world? Just interesting to me that they are lumped together, yet I'd imagine for some (like me), the other 50% is almost completely null and void.
As always, thanks for sharing. (No, I'm not compiling a book from all my questions, I just like creating a forum for conversation/debate/differing viewpoints on the same basic subject.)
I like them both. Wet has become a somewhat new thing to me. it started off with me jumping in the shower in messy clothes and rinsing them off. i started to love the pull of the heavy clothes drenched in water adn watchign them glisten while getting clean. it just went from there! both have different things about them that appeal to me. i am into submerging and full coverage as well. the thicker, the better. the heavier the better. i love pies just because who the fuck doesn't? i love getting wet in my clothes for different reasons. the look of it, it is so sexy, makes you feel sexy. the tug of the clothes or the cling of them to your body. encased in wet clothes that feel amazing on you. it is extremely sexy. being in a big pool with your hair soaking wet and your dress or shirt flowing around you. something about it arouses me because of how sexy it looks and feels. it is beautiful! messy is beautiful as well. i have done some stuff that i would consider art! and i love that. love it. the mess is so freeing, and i love acting stuff out. i think what sets our wet stuff apart is that when we get wet it is just like when we get messy. we are very vocal and interactive about what we are feeling. there have only been a few times where we dont interact with the camera about what we are seeing going on with our clothes, how it feels, why we love it, etc. i think that sets our store drenchme.com apart. we are some talkative chicks so, its just US being US which is important to ariel and i both this is a good question. i have always wondered how many people would like to SEE clean up scenes? like ones where we are cleaning off our bodies or our clothes in the shower? since i loved it so much, i always wondered! another question, perhaps!
For me it's all about...each to their own. I'm not a great mess fan. I like some bits but for me it's all about wetlook. I enjoy showering and bathing in my clothes. The look as they get wet...the feel as the get soaked.
My main attraction to wetlook is seeing women soaking wet....their clothes clinging to them. It looks so sexy. I have a huge wet nylon foot fetish....and wet white t shirts and no bra is a big one too. IT's easier to do at home than messy as well.
I also like to force women to get wet in cold water. That's my biggest turn on. Pushing into the pool...putting into the bath...hearing them shout and scream as they know what's coming but can do nothing about it.
So there are many elements I enjoy about wetlook but I'm happy if others don't get it....as I said at the start....each to their own..!!
thanks for these replies! glad someone posted in the Wet forum, not just Messy, that was my hope/intent.
I have to say, the impassioned nature of so many Wetlook observations definitely piques my interest. I'm one of those people who watches a TON of movies/tv, and every time there's a whole section that takes place in the rain or a movie like Poseidon Adventure or Life of Pi where someone is in/out of the water almost the whole time, I just think "oh, man, that had to be an arduous, difficult shoot." I dislike being fully dressed and then suddenly drenched, a la getting caught in the rain, or falling in a giant slush pile (done that latter, several times, by accident - i am a klutz).
But...Jayce's observations, Wet_nylons -- some of the folks over in the Messy world, their explanations of the SENSATION, well now i do get that.
Funny, I've largely only been fully clothed and in a shower when I'm drunk, like we got caught out in the rain and muddy and it's like "well, might as well just strip off in here" or some variation thereof, and actually soaping up/rinsing off in clothes,.....it's a really, wholly unique feeling. That PULLLLLLLLLLING of water, making the clothing heavier and heavier -- a wild, strange sensation unlike anything else. But again, in "daily life" i just hate the thought of my clothing clinging to me, or dragging on me, sticking to me like a 2nd skin, it mostly feels irritating like "augh! not supposed to be like this, where are my dry things?"
But in the realm of sexy play -- of either doing a photo set/video FOR a customer or even a lover, etc., i get that, if i knew someone was being turned on seeing me or if i was "allowed" to let go in a WAM setting, i can see it being fun.
But I have a feeling in real, daily life, a lot of true Wetlook fans would want to be drenched, would WANT to be caught in the rain, or pushed in a pool, etc. Those things have embarrassing, frustrating connotations to them for me, so I"m not as into them -- yet i'm into pies and slime and the like, and there's equally if not more so a sense of embarrassment connoted to them, too. So, believe me, i get that we're all attracted to various things for various reasons, and it always fascinates me when someone is like "ugh...PIES? that's so weird............now, let me bend over so you can put a pony-play ass-dildo and bridle on me, and ride me like a horse."
To each her/his own, y'know?
As to your question Jayce about cleaning off/stripping off at the end of a video, i consider it a plus. Rich and a few others over the years, some of the more "amateur" stuff, have offered this as at the end, you see the showering off, then the stripping off, etc. Sometimes I watch that footage, sometimes i don't. It doesn't REALLY nail a fantasy or fetish for me, but on the other hand, if it's more of a lovely model having fun, or interacting with the cameraman/WAMmer/producer, it can be enjoyable. Obviously if the set has been clothed and then the person showers clothed and strips to nude, that's pretty rad.
I feel like more modern producers end the scene at a pie (or whatever) to the face, and a wave/kiss to the camera, and we're out, and there's less of the "clean up/aftermath/come-down" you'd find in some older videos.
I enjoy both wetlook and messy for different reasons.
Messy is enjoyable when an attractive model in nice clothing gets pied, falls in the mud or is otherwise messed up. I think part of the enjoyment is seeing the hairdo, the clothing and the looks destroyed. Wedding dresses and dressy clothing are my favorites because it seems so unlikely. Three Stooges classics always had the upper class woman getting a pie in the face. Sort of seeing her brought down a little.
Wetlook is just sexy. A site that has been closed for a while had a quote from the main female model about how clothing clings to her curves. This makes it very sexy. Not a direct quote, but close. Also, wet tends to make some clothing transparent. A definite plus.
Wrestling in oil sort of fills both wet and messy. Even better when the contestants rip the clothes off their opponent.
I somewhat prefer wetlook because the model seems to be acknowledging that we are watching for erotic thoughts while messy is not so blatantly erotic and the model may not think of those results.
I like both wetlook and messy. I think that wetlook can be incredibly sexy, without mess. However seeing someone totally messed up can be a turn on too.
An incident that was reported in the papers in the 1950/60's first awakened my interest in wetlook. There was a party of the political elite (I think it was the Kennedy's) in the states around a pool and the wife of one of the diplomats decided to walk along the edge of the pool in her high heels, almost inviting someone to push her in. She would never have simply jumped. Inevitably the temptation was too much for someone and she was duly pushed. Apparently she was wearing a very expensive cocktail dress at the time, and as is often the case with these, it was not made of very much, the water having an emphatic effect on the material. it was this aspect which commanded the attention of the press, hence the incident getting reported.
Another incident which comes to mind was at a Sailing Club on the south coast of the UK. I actually witnessed this event. There was a post race party with local dignitaries aand their wives present, together with the upper ranks of this rather stuffy club. Pre-race a wife of one of the crew of the (winning) yacht had said that if they won, she would liven up the party by jumping into the dock in all her finery. She did so with gusto, with a crowd gathered and was joined by two more of the wives. They rejoined the party delightedly enjoying the attention their wet clothes brought them
Both of these acts, to me describe the very word sexy. That said, emptying an aerosol of shaving cream into the neckline of my GF's blouse (we didn't have squirty cream in those days) then rubbing it into her hair, when she wasn't expecting it, (she loved it BTW) actually takes some beating.
