I was checking out the Wetlook World Forum today and one of the newer posts had a link to a couple adult baptisms, and it had me thinking - where do you all draw the line when getting entertainment from videos/photoshoots that weren't made with a WAM/TV audience in mind? I.e. a couple taking engagement pictures on the beach winds up getting soaked over the course of their shoot, as opposed to a model wearing a gown on the beach specifically to go swimming in it for a shoot.
I tend to stick with things that were specifically meant to cause sexual arousal or gratification. I'm not interested in using someone's candid photos or videos to get off. I also avoid making comments or sending emails to people posting candid media, asking them to do more of it, or more extreme versions of it...like some folks here have a tendency to do.
Nothing can stop you thinking or feeling a certain way about something. Pretty much everyone's first memory of this stuff was not intended to turn them on.
However I don't go seeking it out. Ok, so nightclub dunk tanks fall into the same broad category of perving as girls on slingshot rides or mechanical rodeo bulls, a bit nudge nudge, wink wink.
But charity gungings in company car parks, people playing in fountains in hot weather, people slipping over in mud while hiking. Nope. Does nothing for me. Can't imagine being turned on by a baptism, but it would be funny if the whole thing started because John was one of us.
Agree that some people here leave comments when it's inappropriate. They really should stop but they never will
I was thinking about this last year, I think I came to the conclusion that if getting messy was part of the scene e.g. gunge tank, movie, game etc and the participant knew it was coming and was ok with it, then it would be ok BUT I drew the line when a friend of mine (who knows about my kink) suggested a tough mudder with a twinkle in her eye. I realised folks went there for fun, to run, for charity and that perving would be a bad thing, even with online pictures. If my friend did the run and showed me afterwards (as she is a massive tease), then that would be fine because it would be her choice and would change the context. Also, if you get turned on there is nothing you can do about it. Whether you enjoy it and keep going shows you your line I guess.
This is an interesting question with the line. On one hand a lot of us found WAM because of shows on Nickelodeon etc. On the other hand, there is a ethical question I guess about it, does it matter what the content is created for?
Are there lines people cross with the candid content, absolutely. Watch candid content or purpose made content, but don't make comments about how aroused you got watching the content. To me that is where the line should be drawn. For the people posting that are not aware that what they are doing is in some circles fetish content can be a little shocking. Plus in the case of a bride falling or purposely jumping in the pool at her reception, it can make the person feel dirty about something that was a good memory. As the anonymous people in the comment section, we do not have the right to possibly ruin something for someone just because we had a great wank session.
But if its not purpose-built content, then I agree with what seems to be the growing consensus: don't comment pervy stuff on it!
Even here, I'm always surprised how many people ask me if they can wank to my photos... which I do like, because then I know, and that gives me some added pleasure.
Because I've always loved stream/swamp exploring, that means a whole bunch of (maybe) not-made-for-fetish content catches my eye...
But I also don't get off to the images alone: I use my imagination to put myself in the location/situation, so... in that sense it's me in the scene, and I don't think about the person in it...
Not sure if that makes it better or worse, but that's how my mind has always done it.
If somebody's created adult content (even if it's 'sfw' in style), they're doing it knowing it will at least titillate- a bit like glamour modelling.
If someone's doing something like a mainstream tv show where it's just a fun thing for them, sharing holiday photos in a mud spa, a charity event- then nope, that's just creepy and imo violating. Even more so if they're sent suggestive or sexualised messages as a result.
From a personal POV, 99% of "mainstream" scenes, from TV of movies, are generally not that appealing, as they aren't directed, shot, or edited from a WAM POV, so compared to "made for us" WAM content they always fall short. I still remember the incredible thrill when I took delivery of my first ever Rob Blaine VHS video in the 90s, watching a beautiful woman wear a gorgeous denim outfit into a bath of liquid mud and knowing that she knew exactly why it had been shot and what it was for and had fully consented to that, plus the superb camera work that let us see, in detail, every moment as she went from clean and dry to covered in mud - that was truly mindblowing.
So these days while I might occasionaly comment on a mainstream scene posted here if it's really good, or note ideas from gameshows or reality shows as potential things to base a future scene on, I don't download or collect them, or watch them for fetish purposes - they mostly just can't compete with purpose-made WAM content.
From an ethical POV, I'd tend to think anything made for broadcast TV or a major movie, as long as you can be sure all participants are over-18, is probably fair game, with audiences in the millions there's no telling what any individual viewer may get from watching, and the participants all sign disclaimers and releases at point of filming. Trying to identify people and contact them on the other hand is out of order, as indeed it is with WAM models unless they maintain a public presence and actively invite messages.
