This show has set the all time record for a host or hostess on a show with an incredible amount of mess and yet................never get messy. I can't think of any other show like that. It seems weird that NOBODY EVER just on the spur of the moment grabbed a pie and let her have it. Very strange.

I think I made a highly accurate call regarding the outcome of this episode the other day.

There was one fantastic double pie-ing of a new girl (don't yet know her name). The double-pie is a new wrinkle that occurred three (or four) times today. The men, of course, received all the other double-pies.

Later in the show a very cute new girl was chosen by the men to receive a pie. Minutes earlier she received a decent pie. The second pie left her totally shellacked.

Balloons with a very thin "slime" were a new addition. They were nowhere near as slimly as the balloons from Chega Mais.

The balloons/pie segment lasted approximately 50 minutes. I thought it might be far shorter. They truly are out of ideas.

Based on what I saw today I think it's reasonable to expect two to four decent pie-ings per week.

Only 15 posts guys?? C'mon.... We gotta triple that to get to 45 posts like I predicted.

And step it up CM... You only accounted for 1/3 of those posts and I had you pegged for 1/2.

I didn't watch, and not that it matters since it seems they're gonna stay 100% clean regardless, but:
--Are any old girls back? I heard rumblings of Karla and maybe Barb.
--I assume the old guys back were Token, Curly, maybe Ugly Bieber? I gotta think all of them that returned got destroyed.
--Clearly, the female vets have a much better agent than the male vets. (Who have probably been homeless since leaving the show the first time.)

I guarantee it's a contract thing. It wouldn't surprise me if she were a raging bitch about getting messy... and said person who pied her on the "spur of the moment" would probably be kicked off the show immediately. Plus the footage would be cut from the show before airing. (I mean, they cut out similar great pieings for Barb after she complained... and I guarantee host woman has 50 times more pull than Barb.)

In case you're wondering about similar precedent: Female host of Mega Match in the early 2000s. 10,000 pies must've been delivered to faces around her over the years... She didn't get pied once. Again, I'm sure a contract thing.

Now *I* am responsible for 1/3 of the posts. Damn.

I watched this on the RedeTV site last night... Not a bad reboot. (We've certainly had worse CMs.)
THE GOOD:
--If only 3 girls total are gonna get pied, make 'em count. I was hoping we wouldn't waste valuable pies on "hair pies," but at least that one got decent facial coverage too. The other two girls, though, got absolutely WRECKED. Four pieings total is awful... But 2-of-4 being as good as any the show has done is a fantastic percentage. Imagine if they can kick the number of female pieings above, say, TEN. (Like almost every CM did for months.)

--Guys are allowed to pie correctly! Specifically, Token!! Also, the inclusion of double pieings in theory will mean near-fantastic pieings (in theory). Because there's no way the girls will go 1-for-5 in future shows, right? (RIGHT?!??)

THE BAD:
--How many girls were there total? Like, 15? And 2/3 stayed absolutely spotless?? What a waste.
--All the returning girls apparently did so on the condition they stay mess-free. You can tell because they were all merciless on the guys in the way that people who don't fear retaliation can be.
--Balloon format means limited pies unless they change things up.
--Big gooey pies appear gone for good. These are the stiff pies that work fine if you really rub them in (again, good job guys) but are gonna SUCK when (not if) the guys pie too gently.
--Ratio is as unfair as it ever was, right off the bat. (Sigh.)

THE UGLY:
--They've already found the new Ugly Bieber. Guy who got double-pied... Then pied again (VERY well) even when he won, because Chega... Then got watered. Add 2 more pies and he would've taken the entire sum total of female mess for the show... by himself.
--Curly went an entire show without taking one pie??? He must be PISSED. I predict he tells "funny jokes" next week and gets massacred by his own team.
