Are Combate and EEG franchises? It seems that every Central/Latin American country has one of these programs.

Perhaps they can expand the franchise up North.

What about EEG New York or Combate Los Angeles?

Our versions would need to have a faster pace, compelling personalities, better lighting, improved camera work and genuine pies to work.

Forget it. I doubt that even an upgraded version of these programs would have any success with American audiences.

They had one, IIRC, maybe on Telemundo or some other Spanish station. It delivered one decent scene but sputtered out pretty quickly and I stopped following it, I'm assuming it died.

Back to Ecaudor, has anyone dived into past episodes yet? I've only done a cursory glance and it doesn't seem like much happened in back episodes. Also, looking at the reactions of the pied participants, it feels like this was a first time event. That one girl in particular who took such delight and fun when she got pied... you don't see that with them after a couple rounds of pie games. Usually they start out apprehensive but even the ones who are down with it end up turning on us (busting out the glasses, copping diva attitudes, running away, crying, etc... the usual shit we're used to with the more established EEG franchises...)

I follow as many of these shows as I can and this might be the first time I've seen pies on combate Ecuador, so save yourself the research.

There is a combate Guatemala and their used to be one in Costa Rica, but those had nothing.

The really pretty girl in the flower print dress escapes the entire show without a pie...guess I'm missing some rule or aspect of the game (re: why some girls get pied multiple times)

I checked through their past clips and it seems like this is the first time they've done anything like this.

I'm not sure what country this one is from, but at the 1:40:00 mark there is a game where two ladies get slimed a couple of times each.

Sucks...but there were a couple other OK hits. Why couldn't one of our producers been invited to select a victim? DAMN than dinner table thing with a pie to the blonde would have been one of the great mainstream scenes in years...but nooooooooo.

Whew, this is a major load off my chest. I was very, and I mean *VERY*, concerned about posting this link here prior to actually doing it. I debated for quite a long time with myself on whether I should post it here or not, I even called my Rabi and spoke with him for at least four hours straight. I was just that concerned that this scene might not live up to fredscout's expectations. I knew it was just middling, only okay, and when the scene was over and nobody pied the blonde hostess in the micro-mini dress a cold chill ran down my spine.

It was fear.

My breathing got heavy, sweat began to pour from my brow as the reality of the situation began to dawn on me. Immediately, I began hyperventilating, what began with so much promise came crashing down like a ton of bricks and every pound of it felt as it it landed on my chest. I could hardly breath and panic was quickly overtaking me. In shock, I did not know what to do, I felt powerless and feeble. Knowing that one blonde has escaped possibly ruined what was otherwise a very average and middle of the road scene, as graded by the Unviersal Fredscout Pie Scene Rating System which I always apply to each and every WAM I stumble onto, for me it isn't just a Universal Pie Scene Rating System. No, it is a Religion. I have dedicated my life to understanding and living by it. In many respects I am like a modern-day Samurai Warrior, with my master alone being the expectations of Fredscout and adherence to the UFPSRS. I checked and rechecked the scene, weighing every moment, desperately hoping that there was something I had missed and the scene would either drop in rating to obscurity, in which case I would forget it and move on, or that it would skew up a few degrees, thus safely falling within Acceptable Fredscout Parameters. Yet, after countless hours and hours, I was at an impasse. The scene was simply too close and could not adequately be judged.

So, for Fredscout himself to weigh in and deem it acceptable is quite the emotional burden taken from me.

What frippery! What Mockery, sir!
