For my money, Zoey and some of MG's clown shoots have been fantastic--while not scary, it's interesting to hear how the same things about 'fear of clowns' also play into the kink of clowns and wam. ------------------------------------- From the article:
One of the most surprising findings is that for many people, having a "scary personal experience with a clown wasn't a main contributor to the fear," Tyson said. Instead, people said they were creeped out by clowns because:
You can never really know what a clown is thinking. It's can be difficult to know what's really going on in the mind of a clown with a painted on smile or frown. "There's something about not being able to read facial expressions," said Tyson. "And the fact that there might be something hidden and dangerous, there might be harmful intent behind the makeup."
Clowns are unpredictable. Clowns make some people laugh, but they often behave in unpredictable and startling ways that normal people never would (such as squirting water from a flower or honking a horn). People who are scared of spiders say something similar, worrying the spider will jump on them unexpectedly, Tyson said.
A clown's exaggerated features are disturbing. The big red nose, the egg head, the puffs of neon-colored hair. People seem to be scared of beings that look nearly human but not exactly, in the same way some people find baby dolls, aliens or robots disturbing.
Movie clowns are terrifying. Many of those surveyed also said their fear is due, in part, to movies starring scary clowns, such as Joaquin Phoenix in "The Joker" or Pennywise, the demonic clown in Stephen King's "It."
It's definitely the unpredictable, nature of the clown which makes them fascinating. The idea that their otherworldly, theatrical persona permits them to commit low level slapstick assaults and other damage with impunity.
That's the reason I like them to be the actor doing the messing, rather than the victim. The clown and the woman from the audience type dynamic and sketch is my preferred form.
There's another separate fascination where the model is a cosplay clown - the clown as victim, humiliated/pathos tradition. This doesn't do so much for me personally (although I've produced two lady clown customs)
I know they don't do it for everyone (and indeed - fear is a real thing for some people) but I've always enjoyed the juxtaposition of clowns and mess.
Years back, there was a site called Knottyclown. Its whole premise was girls made into clowns (sometimes just facially, sometimes entirely bodypainted), before being tied up (to a chair, into a bath, on the floor) and then liberally and unashamedly messed. It was a fantastic site although I believe there were some less-than-complimentary comments about the guy who ran it
Sadly I lost all my downloaded pics from there, after a hard-drive crash. If anyone has any, it would be great to see some again - perhaps it might inspire some new content from other producers, with all the improvements in production values that we have today
(The oldest pics in my wam collection date from at least the mid-nineties, mainly scans of film-derived prints or transparencies. They're a mile away from the quality we enjoy today; the early digital pics of the 2000s were often even more shocking when compared to what we have now!)
