Clothed. WAM to me is about how it feels and looks as your clothes - ideally an outfit deliberately picked for the purpose - is gradually engulfed by the mess. The sensations of substances slipping down inside, or the cold wetness coming through as you happily and deliberately sit on a custard-drenched gateaux or slide down a mudbank into a pool of liquid clay. And how it looks as your outfit succumbs to its messy fate - even moreso if doing it with someone else, watching them gradually being engulfed while enjoying sensations as the same happens to me.
Both are great, often in sequence. I am a big fan of clothing turning transparent or being weighed down to the point it falls off.
I also love seeing cold gunge dumped down the back of a shirt or pants, its uncomfortable and gets a great reaction of discomfort.
Another great scenario is to gunge someone naked and then make them put their clean clothes back on without getting cleaned up.
I definitely lean toward certain clothes, though. Summer dresses, shirt dresses, light sweaters, a line skirts, t shirts, tank tops, tube tops.
I really dislike waterproof clothing and clothing that obscures the body too much. Rainwear never made sense to me. I also don't like rubber, pvc, etc.
Depends on the scenario. That said, when it comes to WAM I usually lean toward as little clothing as possible or none at all. Lycra will always be my go-to if I'm wearing anything, but honestly nothing compares to just giving in to the slop completely and letting yourself get swallowed up by thick gunk, totally naked.
I usually prefer to play naked if I'm flying solo. I like the way the different substances feel on my skin. I do from time to time though start off in Speedos or underwear and fill them before stripping down and covering the rest of myself. If I'm with someone else, I try to accommodate what they might want for a scene and go with that.
Visually a naked woman does a lot more for me than if she is clothed. I am an admirer of the female form.
Also, there is a naughtiness about a naked scene, it can be sexy or humiliating (mildly humiliating is my preference). Watching a clothed woman trashing a naked woman has an element of power play to it which I find titillating.
By comparison a clothed trashing seems a little softer/tamer, like the kind of thing that could happen at a public event or on mainstream TV. Universal rated instead of R-rated.
It's actually a surprisingly tricky question. I love the idea of "ruining" clothes with mess, and indeed we have a whole bag of clothing in the wardrobe kept or bought with that specific use in mind. However, although some of our most memorable - and rewatchable - sessions have started off with Mrs Reiver wearing one of these outfits, in practice, when faced with the choice, I often just find myself saying "No need to wear anything".
I think that's partly the urgency of the moment, but it's also partly logistical. You need a lot more mess to thoroughly saturate clothing than you do to simply cover a naked body, which adds both to the expense and the preparation time. Secondly, just when you get clothing thoroughly messy, you want to remove it to have sex, and that removes a lot of the mess, which puts you back at the beginning just when that's really not where you want to be! We've partly got round that with dresses or skirts, but it can still be a problem in practice. Someone in the past suggested clothes filling as a way round this, but while I think clothes filling can feel good, watching it does nothing for me - it just seems like a way of concealing the mess!
So the short answer is that while clothed and then naked might be my ideal, in practice, in the heat of the moment, the simplicity of just naked is often just too hard to resist.
Naked, but I've only done it once and wasn't in a position to clean clothes properly to avoid getting caught. Still, when I fantasize about it there's usually nudity involved.
