Here's a strictly textual account (from an article in People magazine) of piejinx that happened at a birthday party Christie threw for her daughter in 2008. The article earlier stated that Christie was barefoot and dressed in a tee-shirt and capris for the event.
"The most memorable part of the day came when Brinkley and the kids chased each other with whipped cream pies. She was at the center of the pie throwing contest, says the friend. One boy was chasing her and trying to get her in the face. She was running and laughing. You would never know the cloud she's under."
(The "cloud she's under" was a very bitter divorce proceeding she was going through at the time.)
Christie would've been in her mid-fifties at the time of this party. She was looking great then, and still looks great today. I'm attaching some photos of her, all taken in 2008 or later, some of them as late as 2016.
The People website where I found this article had no photos. Even if there are pics of this somewhere online, links to them couldn't be posted here because her daughter and presumably all of her friends were minors at the time. (The birthday girl was not her daughter with Billy Joel, who would've been in her early twenties in 2008, but a younger daughter from a later marriage.)
When I was a kid she did a commercial for a water purification company or something. I only saw it a couple of times during the Tonight Show. At the end of the commercial someone poured a pitcher of water over her head.
It was really hot (in my memory) but it's never shown up on Youtube.

Yes, I have these small that are from a British newspaper of Ms. Brinkley underwater. Very nice.

So glad someone else remembers this. I saw this ad just once or twice back in the day (roughly 1982-1984) and have always wanted to see it again. Christie was wearing a swimsuit in the ad (one-piece, I think). After the water is dumped on her (I remember it as a cooler full of water rather than a pitcher, but could easily be wrong), she is laughing a lot and says, "It tastes good." (Since it's an ad for a water purifier.)
