Hi all. Just wondering if anyone knows of any secluded mud places at Chichester Harbour or similar for a naked mud bath. I live in the south east, but willing to travel for a good spot. Would then put the clip up far all to see. Only got good old public transport at the moment which has limited my scope for my own explorations, so just thought I'd ask. Also, I've got a couple of really good places I can share in the Seaford area, but they're only usable after dark!
I would have suggested Pagham Harbour as a possibility, unfortunately the obvious place to park is the little car park at Church Norton and that is apparently a dogging area at night.
Unfortunately the combination of public transport and the dark does not make it very easy.
We've been down there many times with the boat so know it well but not for secluded mud spots. The top end of the harbours do dry out, maybe up near Dell Quay, Bosham, Emsworth of Throney Island would be worth looking at. Pagham harbour may also be good. Personally, I would stay near the top of the harbour as the currents nearer the harbour entrance and Itchenor can be quite strong when the tide comes in and goes out. You'd also need to time it for low water as well.
Thanks for your comments so far guys. I know Pagham Harbour quite well, and have used it for night time forays several times over the years. There's even a campsite or two nearby which I'm not adverse to using for a good spot. When I'm rich I'll purchase one of those special night vision cameras.....sigh.
Try neighbouring Hayling Island, at Northney there's deep thick mud, and water pools to wash off and I have never encountered anyone in the years I've been going.

FYI Thorney Island is a military barracks, and some of the troops based there do "boot runs" round the island... including the muddy bits... so might want to be careful unless you fancy being disturbed by a bunch of squaddies... or potentially getting arrested for trespass! Check an Ordnance Survey map before going there and don't go anywhere marked "DANGER AREA" or "No Public Access" etc.
