My main WAM preferences is sweet dessert type stuff, custard, porridge, chocolate etc. Savoury is not too bad. But can be rather smelly. However over the last few months I've been getting rather fixed on mud. Have to admit seeing some of Jayce's scenes has alot to do with it so thanks
I actually can remember when I was younger (a lot younger when TV gunge didn't involve a crash helmet and googles), that I totally got caked in mud, and still remember that it was great. Although to be fair I was just messing about as a kid. Totally unaware it would transpire into a WAM kink.
I may try to visit the spot again next year when it's a bit warmer, and Mr. Willy doesn't retreat so far up my body it's trying to keep warm by hugging my lungs
Has anyone else started with a certain preference, then changed to another particular type? Or does everyone just do everything?
I know my clothing preference has definitely changed over the years.
At first it was cold weather attire and the attraction came more from a sense of feeling "bad" for them because they were getting wet/messy in stuff that's supposed to keep you warm. Like I distinctly remember getting off to Taylor Wane going on Winter Wipeout in this fleece winter hoodie thing.
And then at some point, I'm not sure what happened, but I switched to evening gowns/wedding dresses and there was never any shortage of material for that.
I can tell you distinctly when my preferences switched to almost exclusively maxi dresses. I was waiting for my dad to pick me up from school really early in the year (when it's still upwards of 70 in my area) a teacher in a red maxi dress and a jean jacket walks down the hall on her way out of the building. I don't remember anything about it except that I was like, that's a long dress (it wasn't dragging the ground or anything but it was getting pulled against the back of her foot when she walked). Went home, literally googled "maxi dress gunge" and the rest is history.
I guess mine has changed from things bought specifically to get messy in to more of my actual stuff that I wear when I go out with friends. There's still a fair amount of things you don't normally wear like formals, a couple of really bad mother of the bride dresses, and whatnot but it's not like an entirely separate box of stuff reserved for this.
I wouldn't say my preferences have changed, necessarily, but they certainly became more focused. I used to be all for a wide variety of wam, with a strong preference for mud and gunge, but now I've grown to really only enjoy mud and gunge. Clothing choice never mattered too much to me, but I've always had a preference to leather, latex, pvc, pretty much anything shiny. I also used to enjoy most wam scenarios, but as I've grown to gravitate almost exclusively to scenarios that involve the models getting at least a little bit lascivious in their actions and dialogue.

How well does stuff clean up when you get messy in it?
I know my girlfriend is planning on buying a bunch of maxis this spring, but I'm also not sure how she'd feel about getting messy in the same dress that she would wear for work/a date/running errands. I also may or may not looking for an excuse to get her messy in a chevron maxi dress since I know she wouldn't be caught dead in one in public.

Could understand that I'm also into mud and gunge but the weather makes me wonder if shaving foam and doing inside things involving soap paint come with the weather changes
I really like wet, slippery, warm. Warm slime (gunge if you will), pudding, stuff like that are my favorites. I like the tactile sensation as much as the look and I want to be 'comfy' in my mess.
Sweets are good, savories, not so much. Bad smells are a mega no.
If anything, I guess I've become more picky as I've gotten older. Probably because I'm now thinking about costs, wasting food, clean up, etc. Adulting sucks.
