Going to shoot my first cake sitting video soon, never worked with cake before and was wondering if anyone had any tips as I've only worked with slime in the past.
Specifically, what kind of cakes to buy/avoid, how long do they need to sit out of the fridge to get to the perfect temperature for squishing, cleanup tips, do's and don'ts for cake, etc.
Went ahead and purchased a clear chair, will be working with multiple cameras. Should be a good shoot. Fully clothed. Likely won't be released for purchase, but could pave the way for future releases, if it goes well.
Buy some cheap frozen double chocolate gateaux from a supermarket. When you are ready to shoot, take them out of the packaging three or four hours before you shoot. Once they've thawed, cut into 8 and move the slices slightly apart from each other. Then pour custard into the opened up spaces.
Absolutely guaranteed to make a spectacular mess of the seat of whatever you wear to sit on it.
When filming, first sit facing backwards, so the main camera has a perfect view of your bottom going down into the cake. Then stand up again so the audience can see the damage. If wearing a skirt or dress, sit back down still facing away from the camera. But if wearing trousers, shorts, leggings, or a jumpsuit, come round to the front and sit back down facing forwards, legs open, so we can see the squished mess coming up between your legs.

If a lady sitting in it don't have any fruits with little seeds on/ in it.
Don't use foods anyone sitting in or using same shower has food allergy or food sensitivity too Having a lot of it mix into steam is bad obviously if Inhailed as they normally wouldn't be exposed to it that way, unless they work in a kitchen or dishwashing room
