Hello! Curious if anyone has ever used bubble bath or soap to make foam in a hot tub! Would it harm the system or anything more than just make a mess? Inquiring minds (my roommates and I) would like to know lol
That's a really good question. If it's an outdoor hot tub and not one that's like a jacuzzi bath, I would think there would be a greater risk as the later can be used for actual baths. I wouldn't think it would cause a problem though.
If your tub is jetted you can clog up the jets - air bubble hot tubs you can mess up the bubble mechanism. Hot tubs generally recycle water to keep it hot or to make bubbles. So all the soap would travel through the system - and they aren't filtered for that kind of thing - They aren't really designed to handle anything other than water - oils, shampoo, soap can mess it up. Better to use something you can empty out or clean that has no mechanism that recycles the water. So my advice - don't do it.

That's what I was afraid of... Inside jacuzzi only then lol
