I actually picked up the silver dress footage when it became available and that is just beyond amazing. For my $$$, Bre is one of my alltime fave WAM models.

Due to an MG video with two windows where you could see the clean model and the messed one, I thought would be great to see at the same time the model being messed and the model watching and reacting to that messing...

Is what happens in this video? Is she watching herself on a screen while messed, or she is only pretending that?

Breana is a national treasure. I can't recommend purchasing the combined complete scene highly enough, especially for the full edit.

I can't even imagine how long it must of took you to put together and edit this video!

The MG video you're talking about has footage of the model before the actual shoot, talking to the camera. Then footage shot later where she gets messy. They're on a split-screen, but there's no connection between them, other than it's the same model. The "clean" version isn't actually watching herself getting messy or reacting in any way.

In this one, I spent MANY hours and coordinated the script specifically so it would appear that the "clean" Breana really is watching "herself" get messy and react to it. That's also why I included the 5-minute (!!) free clip below, so you could see EXACTLY how the effect works.

In the future, I might just do what you described.... i.e. film about 10 minutes of random clean footage with the model first, and then split-screen it with the messy footage but without any actual coordination. Because that would save about 90% of my time... and if people can't tell the difference (or actually prefer the uncoordinated version), then there's no point in attempting something more unique.

Short answer: A LONG long time.

I really do enjoy putting together these kind of unique scenes, even with the increased workload... and cost. (Fun fact: I asked Bre if she would cut me a deal, similar to how she did the Wonder Woman scene where she changed out of the outfit halfway through. She said if she was showering twice, she had to charge for 2 scenes. Upshot was the grey dress bit is WAY more messier than planned, since I wanted to get my money's worth! Originally it just ended after the first pie barrage.)

Not sure if I'll do more future scenes like this. Depends on the overall reaction (sales included.) Another fun fact: A longtime customer helped sponsor this idea AND suggested the fate of "Host Bre," which was inspired by a very old trailer for YCDTOTI where a similar thing happens to their host. So thanks to MostWAM for letting us borrow (steal) your idea!

But a question: in the buying options, does "outtakes" mean between the scenes stuff not in the edited scene? Or is it simply the edited scene unedited?

There's some BTS stuff, but the bulk of it is the messy stuff from different angles, and minus FX. So you'll see "bikini Bre" cake herself without another Bre laughing at her. You'll see "dress Bre" get all those pies in a row from different angles, and without the YCDTOTV set behind her.

Most of the buildup is gone in the Outtakes. Bre doesn't really flub lines much anymore.

A future challenge might be to have the model throw pies at herself, but that would be even more difficult and time consuming. You'd probably need a stand-in, maybe in a head-to-toe green-screen outfit for initial hits.

Or hire twins.

Well, the obvious way is to do what I already did over a decade ago..... You shoot footage of the model throwing a pie, then cut to a pie coming from off-camera and hitting her in the face! But "both" models aren't on screen simultaneously.

Fun fact: This particular scene (from SS52) with Ashley in a dual role sold SO poorly, I basically never tried this concept again! Not to be cynical, but the WAM community always wants "originality" but is very selective about WHICH original ideas it supports.

(Or people just HATE obvious blonde wigs, even in a jokey costume context. Anyway. Sped-up highlight reel below.)

Would love to see more of these scenes cos it essentially has the feel of a 2 model shoot but with a bit of a spin on it. Might be in a minority for it but the concepts always interesting enough and it has some great results (as seen)
