I really love the results from this. Unfortunately I don't think it will stop people from abusing the 1st amendment. Sure there was the moment where Alex Jones admitted the shootings happen and it was a good moment for the families. However, let's be honest, this is a demented person trying to avoid paying these families as little as possible. He will say or do anything to protect as much of his money as he can. At the end of the day, he won't learn his lesson, his message won't change, his base and others will still believe his shit and nothing will change. As long as companies are able to advertise opinion as news nothing will change.

Unfortunately, I don't think the plaintiffs will see much of that judgment. I don't fee Jones is liquid to the tune of 43 million. He will indeed go bankrupt on the judgment but the good news is that'll be a torturous process which will totally wipe him out.
