As a kid growing up, I used to stay up late on Sunday nights to watch Benny Hill on Channel 11 out of Baltimore. After my parents went to bed, I would sneak down to watch this bawdy British clown.

Anyway, it was always disappointing that Benny didn't have more WAM in his shows. It seems tailor-made for WAM, but the reality was that WAM on Benny Hill was kind of rare and never really that great. That said, I still like Benny Hill and the style of comedy that he did. You see shades of it in some producers' work. I wish you saw more of it.

Anyway, I made a compilation of WAM scenes from Benny Hill. I am not claiming that I caught all WAM scenes. The likelihood is I missed some wetlook scenes. Also, I threw in a few of my favorite "bawdy" scenes-- not necessarily WAM but still enjoyable (to me, anyway). Youtube takes this down when I try to upload it so I uploaded to Dailymotion. Ta for this, some good bits, I particularly liked the stunning Louise English getting drenched with a soda syphon. Agree Benny could have done a bit more wam, it fitted his style of comedy.

I used to be obsessive about knowing the names of actresses who were wammed. With Benny Hill, I painstakingly went through to find out the name of each Hill's Angel who got wammed. Saved the files to my external hard-drive under the name of the actress aaaaaannnnnd the hard drive died (this was about 5 years ago-- I lost a lot of stuff). Long way of saying I used to know the name of all of these actresses.

It proves beyond a doubt that Benny Hill understood the attraction of WAM, and they must have had a lot of fun filming -- particularly the water up the skirt of the stockings and suspender clad female firefighter!

I seem to recall a stage show in London a few years ago based on Benny Hill (Dead funny)? I'm sure someone will confirm correct title!
It featured a couple of mini slapstick scenes including a girl being pied twice I think, and the male lead actor having a bowl of trifle poured over his head!
Someone will hopefully find the youtube or equivalent clips!

This is just the sort of stuff i enjoy.
Pretty 'ladies' getting messy in a 'fun' way.

The stockings and suspenders (which would have been 'normal' wear in the 80's and 90's), just adds to my enjoyment of this. (although some clips were before this date)

I would love to see current WAM producers doing similar fun and messy 'sketches'.

The Man and his Wife are some who do sketches with humour and mess.

Most wam come close in a few sketches. A custom they did for me with Charlotte I tried to go in this direction. There's also one on their free videos section where two girls pie each other at a bus stop, one of them, Jess, I particularly like, and she's nicely dressed in an office suit and heels

The "painting the dress green" one is cool, though from a WAM perspective it'd have been better to see the front being painted - but that wouldn't have suited the fast paced comedy effect. Interesting collection, ta for sharing them.

That's been done a couple of times - I went to see it on the last revival in 2017, and it's pretty good as a play, and was very well acted (the pies could have been a smidge better, but considering they were doing the scenes 7/8 times a week for several weeks, some performances might have been better from that POV) I don't think you'll find any clips online - the theatres would have had a strict policy, especially as act 1 also features an extended fully nude scene for the male lead.
