Anyone got any tips for wam play using balloons? I'm wanting to fill them with shaving foam but was wondering if anyone had experiences/advice for regular balloons vs water balloons tips on tying the balloon once it's filled with foam what size of balloon and how much they should be filled?
Basically anything for using balloons that will easily pop and burst the foam everywhere.
Shaving foam i have blown them up then put the nozzle of the foam into the balloon ripple, just the tip . Blow them up, create space and squeeze over the shaving foam can. I think the results are on my profile.
Other substances i have had zero luck. I just eneded up mad as I scrubbed slop off my cupboards. Eventually I just dumped it down my pants to feel better.
Someone told me to fill balloons with air, take 2L pop bottle and use as a funnel. Let the gravity of gunge displace the air. I tried with a normal funnel and failed.
I have covered the outside of balloons with foam and shaved them. It was a fun surprise.
Good luck and let the people know what worked. I suggest laying plastic before filling the balloons so you can at least enjoy the mishaps.
There is a couple on Youtube who prank each other using a little bit of water Shaving Cream and then they blow up the balloon to whatever size..a decent size...makes a pretty good mess.

Yes, this 2L bottle method has always worked for me. First fill the bottle with your mess, then blow up your balloon and put the neck of the balloon over the bottle. That way it won't deflate and you can pour what's in the bottle into the balloon.
The only draw back is that the mess has to be a little runny for it to work.
Once a year, this question always comes up. It's what stopped me lurking to answer 25+ years ago:
1. Put substance in a large bottle. 2. Inflate balloon. 3. Put top of balloon over top of the bottle and let go, it will stay inflated. 4. Turn upside down and let the substance fall into the balloon, hold the neck. Sometimes squeezing the bottle helps. An average balloon hold 4 litres of liquid.
To tie the neck without stuff coming out: Simply twist it a few times and then tie. Shaving foam like cream comes in a pressurised can so squirt it in and hold the neck tightly so it doesn't come back out.

Filling balloons was always a pain until I stumbled across Silver_sea's method and honestly it's a game changer. It can still get a little messy but with a bit of patience it works. Having 2 people does make it a little easier too as then you can have 1 to hold the seal and the other to squeeze the bottle.
This worked so well that I was even able to scale it up to get 25L of gunge into a giant balloon. This was the results:
Not sure if there is a way to get shaving foam to flow, maybe adding a little water? But that might start moving away from the affect you're after.
I don't know if you have ever seen "Lindy and JLo" who do balloon pranks on Facebook, TikTok and YouTube but I think that is exactly what they do. I guess you don't need a lot of water and it's not exactly gungey but it looks like they get a thick enough gloopy solution to make it messy. And it's easy to clean up I guess!
If you want Shaving foam to flow, you actually do need quite a bit of water. In the pictures in my profile you see shaving foam used in a gunge tank, honestly I probably used 1 part water to 2 parts foam and mixed it with a paint stirrer in a brewers bucket!
In a balloon; just add the foam, twist the top, put it over the tap and untwist, then shake it up.

I've not seen them but they sound like great fun! I'm going to have to look them up! Xxx
