I was cleaning out my kitchen cabinets and came across a couple boxes of very expired instant mashed potatoes. My first thought was, instead of throwing them away, why don't I play with them? Has anyone ever gotten messy with instant mashed potatoes? In theory, they sound like they might be fun to play with. I'm just not sure about the consistancy since they seem to almost melt in your mouth when you eat them.

I love cold mashed instant potato, you can make it as runny or thick as you like. I enjoyed filling my pantyhose with mash and beans. Would be great in wellies

I love this idea!! I think I'll try to make them as thick as I can and I have several cans of beans that I have been saving for a big messy time and this might just be the exact time to use them!!! BTW, I love that pic!!!

Make sure it is cooled properly though.

It can be warm to hot a long time. Especially when made in the microwave.

Yes definitely, I made it the day before I used it. Even though its cool on the outside it really holds the heat.

Mash and gravy is another great combo

I've used this a lot - especially before natrasol was as easy to get hold of. Had some great gungings with it.

Real potatoes are the only way to go

It's awesome. I've done it in a hotel just using really hot water (potato flakes style). I bet it'd be great with something slimy like butter or gravy.
