My 01 Corolla finally bit the dust and I'm looking for another car. How do you all feel about 10th/11th generation Corollas, or what do you recommend. Everything I've read on NHTSA reports and car forums say that 2016, 2013, and 2008 were the best years in recent history.
I can't buy new, so Hondas are out
Can't afford a Maxima, and Altimas are widely known to be shit, so Nissans are probably out too.
Consumer's Reports has it's quarterly new car review and quarterly used car review on the newsstand (I think autocorrect is as wrong as the tranny in my Audi....) The new car review has data going back for 5 or 6 years. For example, you can see how GM's are built last the payment cycle or lease. Another idea is to go to caranddriver.com. Click on the new car tab or the review tab. This will get you several years of road tests and and reviews. Ignore Nissan's; I think Renault is bleeding them for profits.

And the Yaris.
I've never owned a car with rear disc, that's just more rotors to replace.
I've been using carcomplaints.com a lot. I don't really want to pay to join consumer reports, but I might have to. Some much has to do with the last driver and how many as well, so I'm always scouring the carfax and checking VINs. I flat out refuse to buy a car that was previously owned in Jersey or Delaware.
