I've got a 1kg bag of Bentonite Clay waiting to be used and wondered if anyone knows how much water I'd need to make a nice paste with - not too thick but not too watery, enough to be able to mess up clothes and stick to them.
Put it in a bucket and add a little water. Wait a day and stir. Add more water slowly and wait a day. Keep this up until it's what you want. Give bentonite a day or two each time to absorb the water. It will be different stuff each time you check it. Be patient with it. It's not as "wammy" as pottery clay but it can be a great slippery fun mess.

If it goes well I may post pictures.
bentonite absorbs 5 times its weight in water so technically 5 litres water for 1kg bentonite - however depends how thick you want it. Runny and slippery go for the 5 litres, for thick paste probably 3 litres. Experiment to find your own ideal level ... start with 2 litres and go from there
