So I guess we all should be glad that they used this kind of art to communicate clear criticism of the social misery of that epoch.
In the german audio track some more issues are descibed in a scientist view. e.g. Mabel Normand has also already 1911 done a film titeled: "Modeld in Mud"?? that has been filmed in an emtied lake that turnd out to have a nice mud on the ground. They explain that this is scene as the the first step to a thrown cream cake....
In a college film class the name "Mabel Normand" referencing this scene was the ONLY question I missed on a 20 question quiz. Isn't it ironic......doncha think?
