Through the insistent urging of her friends, Anastasia's set to take the YouTube #SlimeChallenge, although she isn't exactly thrilled to be getting messy again. She reluctantly agrees to take one sliming for charity (just a *little bit* of slime and that's it), but a series of technical mishaps force Anastasia to get wayyyy messier than she ever intended! Four buckets of multicolored slimes (running the gamut from runny to chunky, cake batter to synthetic), eight white and yellow pies, and one bikini strip later, and this Russian model is absolutely gunged in gunk and NOT happy about it!
Yeah I guess the red slime was a chunky sort of runny, like YCTOTV-lite perhaps. Definitely further on the runny side of the spectrum than what I usually use. The deep red color makes it look like a tomato paste, too, which was unexpected. The 2nd slime was the Messy Supplies brand gunge. I really wanted it to be neon orange, and tried mixing a neon pink packet with and neon yellow packet, but only got to that light peach color I think someone needs to send me a new care package of MSGunge packets with new colors
My favorite slime in this scene was the blue slime, and I finally figured out what the true secret to "The Secret Of My Recycled Slime" is Also, did anyone notice anything about the pies? They were made using the corn syrup mixed with shaving cream recipe. It certainly felt heavier (more like whipped frosting) in the bowl, but I'm not sure if it looks too different in the scene?
About as close to a perfect scene for my tastes. What did you figure out as the secret for your recycled slime? I haven't bought it yet so I can't give proper feedback on the corn syrup pies just by looking at the pictures. What is the idea behind mixing corn syrup and shaving cream? Do they splatter better, cover better, etc.?
The idea with corn syrup in shaving cream is that it supposedly imitates the look of whipped cream, so...heavier and less fluffy. I mixed it up in a bowl with an electric blender and it definitely felt different, like whipped frosting, which I liked. But the actual look of these pies in the scene was not so markedly different. A little bit less fluff I guess. I'll try it again with more corn syrup next time. As for the secret of the recycled slime....it's a healthy addition of shaving cream into the mixture of cake batter & oats
Thank you for that! Just after I posted I remembered a conversation from a couple years ago about a producer's pie recipes and how fantastic the pies are, but they didn't want to give out the recipe. I'm sure they made the decision for business purposes but most of us here aren't businesspeople, we're just people who like to get messy and wanted to try out something new and awesome. It's their prerogative but it was disappointing to see how easily we forgot where this forum came from and that it used to be as much an exchange of amateur thought as it was commerce between producers and customers. Thanks for not seeing us all as competition. Gonna give this a go with the missus.
