The technology is incredible and it scares the shit out of me. The horse shit they are finding out with the capabilities of AI is ridiculous and puts art at risk. We need these critical thinking skills that art helps develop as humans to help us think outside the box. This leads to less drones blindly following orders and pretending to live life when they are doing the will of those in charge. Without the ability to think outside the box and say wait a minute, this isin't right, or the ability to challenge authority we are just slaves.
I know that AI can be manipulated and poisoned with bad information for things especially in writing code. A lot of work has been put in to training AI with bad code to expose programmers that do not know what they are doing and what the code they are implementing does. It is only a matter of time before AI becomes self aware. By the time that happens it will be too late and it will start finding ways to do things without those pesky humans.
The large language models - what most of the writing AI's use, and similar to the way the art AI's do their thing - use samples to create their results.
They have exactly 0 actual intelligence, artificial or not.
Calling them all AI is, like terms such as "enemy AI" in video games, generous.
What they produce is based on the sample set they have access to.
For specific purposes, say a chatbot on an e-commerce site, there are multiple steps you have to take to determine the results are on-point and factual, which can include limiting and filtering questions to items in your product catalog, and ensuring that every answer includes only information from that catalog.
If they're being used to write copy for ads or site content, then human proofreading is a must.
If they're being used to write code... they can help teach some things, but... good, clean code and using the correct patterns for the needs of the project are probably *not* what they can do well.
As for becoming self-aware... we're still waiting for that to happen with some people.
Warning! If left unchecked AI was render the whole of humanity obsolete within the next 100 years. If you are cool with this then keep on feeding it!
BTW. The story posted is OK, but the more times you read it the more you realise it is written by an algorithm. There are forms of language and certain words in their which you'd never find if written by a human. Who uses the word 'sponsor' in an erotic story, for example.
Still, as time moves on and us old duffers shuffle off the next generation won't know/care about such things. Until the robots tear them a new bottom hole!

Oh yes, you'll have to ask the people here who are already using it to create stories and art how to fill out the prompts without getting censured. Even the machines have a strict moral code! Personally I prefer the human touch and hope others will too. In any case if the robots get too ansty I will simpy pull out their powe cables!

Oh Bratty! I must be quite innocent, really, cos I just fed it quotes like "the wet fabric drifted against her skin", "showing the vague seductive silhouette of her shape!" etc etc!
