Hi folks, I've got a 36" balloon that I want to fill with gunge, looking for ideas on how to get it filled. Necks too big to use the plastic bottle method!? TIA!
Hmmm, that sounds interesting but this must be 36 inch inflated! Not quite 3000 tons but sounds like one of those climb in balloons, would be so so messy if it would work!!

3000 litres to fill (not 3000 tonnes), but I see where you are going now. Bit of filling then climb in, bounce around.
Too be honest, if you can climb in then you can get a bucket through the neck, just have to keep topping up the air each time. Or maybe jug and pour, then out quickly to minimise air loss. Would need help with that though.
How many balloons do you have? I'd have thought the gunge would just keep it open and filled, especially if it was thicker stuff. Otherwise are there any hose type attachments that would go from bottle top screw to a larger head that the opening would grip. Or... you just put the opening of the balloon further up the bottle and hold on for dear life
Just the 1, would get more if it works! I'm going to try a super soaker with some MS gunge so hopefully it works without the gunge having to be too runny!
But it's a moot point as filling it is the question, so 3000 or 400 litres is still a hell of a lot and the neck is too big to hold open without the air escaping.
Only 2 ways I can see: 1. A pump to force gunge in and inflate the balloon. 2. Fill small balloons with gunge and put them in the bigger balloon, keep inflating. Then whay you have finished (in about a week) pop the smaller balloons.
Yeah, relying on Google Search to get a calculation out of a text string was maybe not the best idea. When I follow that link I can see the same answer as you, a table with values in five different units (including 3,202.6 litres) and "2 more rows." And if I click on that to see what units the 2 more rows are in, it goes here: https://www.calculateme.com/shape-volume/sphere/36-inches and it's radius-based.

I've had a think about this now, going to try filling the balloon with powder then using a hose on the hot tap to fill the balloon which will be sitting in the inflatable bath with me! Bonus points if i can get it to deflate the gunge into my boxers!
36 inch balloons are pretty standard for riding in the balloon fetish community, as for climbing in, Climb-in balloons are 72 or 80 inch typically. As for filling it, that is gonna be weighty, and hard to manage. Even loading 6 lbs of chocolate syrup into a 12 inch party balloon can make them a bit interesting to handle, and the ones I've loaded with a gallon of water I have to practically hug to transport. You have to remember the balloon will flex and wobble around your hands. You'd definitely need a frame or large large large bowl to cup a 36" while it fills to also not have the issue of the weight of the liquid just trying to push out like a pancake stretching the bottom, as I assume you want the balloon/globe shape. Goodluck!!! And please take pics for science!!!
