So, anyone else excited for the upcoming 25th James Bond film?
The theme song has been released, and it's rather good. And the trailers look utterly amazing!
And Lashana Lynch, who plays the new 007, looks utterely amazing in her tactical gear, see attached pictures.
I've always loved how the series has modernised over the years, it's fascinating to watch the older ones now from a modern perspective. I've also realised it influenced my fetish tastes, as a kid in the 70s I saw the 60s ones on TV, "From Russia With Love" has lots of beautiful waist-down back views of women in knee length skirts, "Goldfinger" has a female assasin in a skin tight black catsuit, and in "Thunderball" Domino wears a stunning white shorts jumpsuit, which must have been absolute cutting edge fashion when the film was made.
Several of us here are really looking forward to No Time To Die.
The Daniel Craig bond films tend to follow a routine of good (casino royale, skyfall) promptly followed by meh (quantum of solace, spectre) so we're due in for a good one. It's an interesting take on Craig's bond being "modern" and thus gritty constantly drinking with a harsher amount of violence (watching a man drown someone in a sink when I was like 10 was probs not suitable for a 12 rated film). I still really like them though and they're by far my favourite bond films.
Also best theme gotta be the Chris Cornell one, luv that tune

I put a playlist together of all the intro sequences for the first 4 Daniel Craig movies, plus the audio-video for No Time To Die, has to be said they are all cracking good songs.
Lady Jasmine and I re-watched Casino Royale the other week, and planning to do the next three before the new one comes out in April. Doing a bit of research on them, apparently Quanum of Solace is actually the most violent of the entire series, mainly because it's primarily a revenge film, whereas Casino Royale was a romance, at least as far as Bonds go.
Felicity and I really liked Spectre, especially the pre-credits opening scenes in Mexico City, but so far Casino Royale and Skyfall are undoubtedly the highpoints of the reboot.
Know what you mean about that savage opening fight in Casino Royale though, that was brutal, even for someone with (or earning) a licence to kill.
Its been a while since I've seen a Bond film. I saw Goldfinger, Dr. No, For Your Eyes Only, and Goldeneye when I was a kid. I still need to see the Daniel Craig films. What other Bond films are worth watching?

From Russia With Love and Thunderball are both very good, if somewhat dated.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service is very good.
Personal favourites of mine include View To A Kill, Goldeneye that you've already seen, and all of the Pierce Brosnan ones, even if the storylines do get a bit far-fetched in places.
But the Craig ones are masterpieces. They bascially decided to completely reboot the franchise, at the start of Casino Royale you see him make the two kills needed to become a double-O agent, one of the two, as NorthernWAM said, being somewhat brutal even by Bond standards.
The release for No Time To Die has just been put back for the third time, it's now due to be released on 8th October 2021. I'm kind of hoping that will actually happen as it's around about the time the UK should have vaccinated the entire population (currently on track to have everyone over 70 done by mid-February), so hopefully will finally see the end of the pandemic and a return to normal life at long last.
Meanwhile, someone's done this rather cool unofficial tribute trailer for No Time To Die, also incorporating a few bits of previous Craig films, and based around the Billie Elish theme song, which I rather like.
