I came home from work and decided I wasn't going to change. I headed straight to the pool in my blue jeans, sleeveless shirt, white crew socks, and Adidas sneakers.

When I stepped onto the pool steps, I felt my socks and shoes fill with water, squishy and heavy with every step. That feeling always makes me smile. I let myself sink in deeper until the water had completely wrapped around me, soaking everything.

My jeans turned dark and shiny, clinging to me in all the right ways. I couldn't resist climbing out just to see how they glistened in the light, water streaming down my legs and dripping from my sneakers. Then I'd slip back in, enjoying it all over again.

After a while, I sat down at the café table, still dripping everywhere. My sneakers squeaked against the ground as the water pooled beneath me. I just sat there, completely drenched, savoring the squish of my shoes and the way my clothes hugged me tighter.

Eventually, I kicked off my sneakers, leaving my soaked socks on. I slid them back into the water and watched them swirl beneath the surface, loving how playful and free it felt.

To finish, I climbed into the hot tub, still fully-dressed. The heat made everything feel different--heavier, warmer, even more indulgent. My shirt clung, my jeans held onto every ripple, and my socks grew soft and warm with every movement. I closed my eyes and just let myself sink into the sensation, enjoying every second of my after-work swim.
