(cont. - pt. 4) The insects are no joke there, even if you're mud-covered, bring plenty of bug spray, especially when heading towards the sliphole.
Hope everyone has a great time - make sure the mud-virgins are well baptised, have a wallow (and then some) on my behalf, and enjoy each-other along with the mud.

(cont. - pt. 3) The outdoor mudpit often needs a help after not being used a few days, but stirs up nicely, just get in and start mixing. Great consistency, and more room to "spread out" (sort of) in it. Not QUITE as big an issue as the sliphole, but try to conserve/replace the clay and clean each-other before exiting.
If planning to go to both sliphole and outdoor pit (or the bog), go in that order, as you don't want to inadvertently bring residual outdoor mud into the sliphole dome.
Depending on temps, after dark mudding at the outdoor mudpit might be an option. You'd need a light source, so if anyone has them, and if the campground permits them , bring some tiki torches. Mudplay/mudsex by torch light makes for a great evening.

(continued - pt.2) The slip hole is an enclosed dome that gets VERY hot during the day, the kaolin does cool you off, but drink plenty of water. It's VERY slippery in there, use caution moving around. The kaolin also gets into your ears better than other mud/clay, so if ear drainage is an issue for you, swimmer's type plugs are a good idea, especially if head/dunking. That clay is there because others brought it to the site, so conserve as much as you can, remove as much as you can before exiting the dome. Besides, scraping it off of each other can be great fun.....

I'm sadly just not able to make a trip to CRC happen this summer, but....having been there twice before.... am posting this "mudders' public service announcement " for those going for the first time.
First/foremost - follow the clean-up protocol - without cheating. This has spoiled the party at a number of campgrounds that tolerated mudding in the past, don't let this happen at CRC.
The distances there aren't far, and the campgrounds are pretty much on a flat spot, so no hill climbing is involved. Definitely bring your bug spray.......
Still not sure if I can get out there this summer, but having done so in years past, it's definitely worth it. CRC is a nice campground, and is the most mud-friendly I have been to. Ground/water temps are warm enough there by late June/early July, and stay that way through August. This is not the ONLY time mudplay will be available there, so don't fret if you can't make this particular weekend.
I would call this a nice "debut" and you sure found a nice spot to do it at......... Get another mudpup to join you next time....... thanks for posting.
