So last Saturday (June 1st) I, as well as a couple friends, participated in the Spartan Race held here in Vancouver BC. I was a tad disappointed with the mud situation, definitely not as much as they advertised. But I must say that it did feel "oh so wonderful" to feel the mud sticky between my fingers among hundreds of other friendly competitors, to walk around in a second skin and observe some very muddy men and women and finally to hose down in the crowd... oohh man.

The highlight was having to climb a slippery rope and if you fell (or in my case did totally not on purpose!!!) you landed into a nice big smooth pudding-esque pile of MUD! The army crawl under barb wire, which I thought would be "oh no I buried my face in there to escape the wire" wasn't as nearly as satisfying/ the rubble among it it has left my poor knees all covered in scrapes and bruises.

It is times like these, just now, that I am ever so thankful that women are unable to physically display their horny fancies.

Just revisiting it now makes me all excited!!

I am hoping to participate in more "messier" runs if I can find some and I will definitely share any photos with you along the way. Do any of you participate in these types of marathons for the tantalizing public messiness of it all?
