Edited 13 July 2017 to add names of people I couldn't remember.

Wow, what can I say but it was another absolute blast!

I saw the post for London Splosh Games two appear on Fetlife/UMD and within a minute or so I was logging in to get my ticket as I knew it was something I wanted to do again. I actually bought the ticket before I checked my diary to my sure I could go. However, foolish I was for doing it I knew I would work something out. Thankfully I hadn't got anything booked in for the 9th.
I managed to get some cheap first class train tickets and found myself on a train bound for London for my second London Splosh Games wondering if any other of the travellers were going to be doing something messy/naughty/exciting (delete as applicable) as I was! .

I was greeted by CKWam who scanned my ticket bar code which was displayed on my phone onto his to help him manage the event attendance. I was impressed that a unique event was able to utilise modern technology in such a way. Some of you youngsters may think nothing of it, but I was impressed!

We were greeted warmly by the staff inside and an especially enthusiastic MyPieRogative and where I was given a raffle ticket for my chance to go head to head in the gunge tank. After a drink, I got changed into my red and black PVC playsuit, as some of you know I wore it last time and it's had some other outing, but I like it. Spoiler Warning: There is some news about it towards the end of this blog.

The first part of the afternoon was the Guest Vs the models in a game of higher or lower al la 'Bruce Forsyth's Play Your Cards Right' hosted by the delectable JellynCustard. I had both excitement and nervousness as not only had I got my complementary raffle ticket, I had also bought more and placed them in several of the models raffle jars. Every time a ticket was drawn, my heart was in my mouth in case it was me! The first games were played and it was brilliant seeing the anticipation of the guests and models as cards were drawn and higher or lower answers given. The gunging of all participants was a sight to behold. At one stage I was asked to draw a ticket from the jar and I did think what if I drew my own name and how many people would call it a fix, but in the end I drew the name of the chap (Jaffa, I think) next to me. In the end I didn't get my ticket called for the gunge tank. I would like to say a big Thank You to both MyPieRogative and CandyCustard for the sketch between them, I won't say much in case they want to repeat it again but I have found out that the LSG Gunge Tank get reach places that other gunge tanks can't! MyPieRogative's craft making skills and Trump comments also deserve a highly commended mention!

At this stage I would also like to say thank you to JellynCustard for doing an excellent job and allowing me to be her (door) knob handler! Ooo Matron!!! Then the other thank you goes to the unsung hero of the night - Jeremy Custard! (AKA Mr JnC)- who was the 'Gunge Tank Wrangler' who I watched work up a right sweat, playing the music, loading and recycling the gunge and generally overseeing the proceedings to make sure it was run right. You Sir, deserve a huge pat on the back.

After a break we were called downstairs to start the messy games and I became involved in Rock. Paper, Scissors, those of you who have read my blog on the first London Splosh Games will know I also played it then, so I will not bother doing the Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock reference in this writing but I did have to get it in as verbal comment as part of the games! Guess I repeat myself in my old age!!! The person I was partnered with was Richey who I had met before, so that helped with the game but I have come to the conclusion, that despite playing to win, I am crap at the game as I seemed to be the gungee rather than the gunger!

And now some sad news aahhh I hear you say, my red and black PVC number hasn't really survived. Some of the stitching was already coming apart, but now the PVC is coming away from the lining and the zip is coming off. I think it may have one more outing left in it, but I will plan that to be a real trashing of it, to give it a good send off.

After a shower, I changed into my spandex red and black (I think you can guess the colours I like!) playsuit that was kindly referred to by Ari as a leotard. At this stage the remaining raffles tickets were being used to call people up to do messy wrestling with the Gooey Grappling Girls. I knew I had plenty of tickets left in the jar so it was a good chance that I would be called up. At this point I should point out I am not the strongest man you will ever meet, and a few times in my life girls have pinned me down. Not that I was complaining or anything! The game was to wrestle the socks off each other and I think this was both a literal and figurative meaning of the phrase as I was knackered at the end of the bout! I really wasn't sure what to expect but my opponent (sorry your name has gone) couldn't have been nicer in her approach to the game, I felt there was no malice in the game just two people having a messy fun time. At one point we were sliding and spinning around on our sides, like a Catherine Wheel which really was a unique sensation and not something I had happen before and I am struggling for adjective to describe it. I probably use Awesome too much in my writing, but it was! I think we each won a round in getting a sock off, but ultimately I triumphed! Which shocked me as it was totally unexpected, I was really expecting to get my ass kicked. So to the lady wrestler, thank you have helped created a memory for me that I hope will last a life time. I am really looking forward to seeing the video.

The only question now is rematch? I might even let you win!!! (Now that will be my ass kicked next time!!!)

After the match I was tired but it was a good kind of tired as I was still pumped to carry on and after a quick clean up, I ended up in a game of poses where random things were said and you had to interpret them into the best pose you could. Fail to do it and you got gunged by PennyBanks. I remember random bits such Donald Trump where I did his quiff with my hand, Mount Rushmore where I tried to show the nose of the sculptures and Babylon 5. I got challenged on Babylon 5 by CKwam as I had put my arms out, to replicate the length of the station and my head was the solar collectors on the side and he was unsure of it, my justification was allowed after all my user name comes from that series and I couldn't loose on that round could I? After all we "We live for the One, we die for the One". (gratuitous B5 reference!). We were also asked to do an interpretation of the gorgeous JellynCustard and I focused on two important assets her eyes! Nah not really! JellynCustard as I said at the time please take it as a compliment, as they say 'imitation is the sincerest of form flattery.' You also have nice eyes too.
I did struggle with Take That and a couple of others though so I did get gunged!

To more sad news and again I hear you say aaahhh I no longer have a red and black spandex playsuit as after washing, all the red dye has come out. The good news is that after all the red dye has gone, I now have a silver and black suit, so a new look!

Overall another excellent event, thank you to everyone who helped organise it, I appreciate the amount of time and effort that goes into an event like this.

Just one question left 'When's the next one???'

Glad you had fun - the 'Gunge Tank Monkey' was JeremyCustard, JnC's other half! And yes, he worked himself to exhaustion to make sure it all went smoothly...
