Hi there, me again! So many times when I get mails or go to chat rooms I get asked the same question time after time. To keep myself from repeating myself more times than the BBC (bless 'em) I have decided to do a quick FAQ type blog about how I got into all this mess, and why it took so long to realise........

As most people on here would probably agree, I loved the golden age of 70's and 80's kids TV - especially that Saturday morning stalwart "TISWAS" (for those not of UK persuassion - wacky, chaotic show hosted by Chris Tarrant and Sally James with the Phantom Flan Flinger and a cage full of victims who got gunge, water etc chucked over them). I often wondered what it would feel like to get a pie in the face......Later, in my teens a certain Mr Noel Edmonds had a Saturday night show which involved a gunge tank quiz.....Oh how I wanted to be in that tank, to see what it felt like. As I had no idea this was an actual fetish (those were the days of innocence and nievety) I thought nothing more about it.
Fast forward to my late 20's, and I moved to the coast (Cleethorpes, NE Lincs) with my partner. I loved being by the sea. One day we went exploring with his young daughter, on the beach. We found some mud, we got stuck in the mud - I thought it was great fun and started to sling it around, and me and his daughter ended up having a mud fight, ending with the 2 of us in fits of giggles (well, she was only 8!) Needless to say he was not impressed, and told ME off for being a bad influence - spoilsport. But I then realised I loved the feel of the smooth mud, and the gloopy sounds it made. Alas, I never got another chance to play in the mud, but often wondered about other stuff - I played a bit with custard when he wasn't around, but not too much as I didn't know where it would lead.
Spin on 8 years or so - I had asked him what he thought of messy kids shows and such - he thought they were silly and didn't understand why I thought them funny. Anyway, Ileft it at that and we went about our lives until we split, about 3 years ago. Since becoming single and getting my own laptop and internet access, I discovered there was a name for what i enjoyed - WAM/Sploshing!!!! I looked up every reference I could, joined here and Splosh and got talking to fellow sploshers. I felt quite in awe at first, not knowing what to try - but help came and with some encouragement I tried different substances, and I was hooked. I wished I had found out about this years ago, so I find myself now making up for lost time - why couldn't I have found this out 20 years ago??? Ahh well - still plenty of time to get messy!

1) fave substance - foam and natrasol

2) pies or slime - BOTH

3) don't do savoury - bad experience with a fellow splosher and hate the smell!

4) would love to try more mud - been in it once at a Mike Nomic shoot and loved it!

5) also interested in bodypaint - see pics of me as a cat!
