Craig always thought that he was the luckiest person in the world. He had so many good fortunes come his way. And he has always taken it for granted. But today, his luck would run out.
Craig is a charming man with green eyes and blonde hair that is obscured by his signature -as he dubbed it- green top hat. As mentioned before, he considered himself very lucky. He wasn't from a rich background, but rather a middle class but still considered himself lucky from everything. The luck factor he "had" made him a bit arrogant, but he toned it down from time to time.
Recently, he got invited to a Saint Patrick's Day event. Craig decided to go since he had nothing better to do that day. Since the party was on the holiday, he decided to dress in his green suit. Said suit had a vibrant green coloring suit jacket, a white dress shirt and green tie that was hidden with a green vest, black slacks, dress socks, and dress shoes.
His day took quite a turn after his car broke down on the countryside. Craig ignored this action and went to find help for his car. The lucky man, unfortunately, saw no one was coming down the road and his phone had died since he didn't think to charge it. So far, his luck was different.
Realizing that he would not find help just standing around his car, Craig decided to at least find some help with his vehicle. He came across a long grass path with tractor tracks in it. Throwing caution to the wind, the lucky man headed out to find someone to get his car going...
Which he immediately regretted after stepping into a muddy track since he was on the grassy path he thought was clean. The mud "consumed" his left dress shoe after stepping in it. Craig did his best not to become annoyed with this as he pressed on, getting his right shoe also muddy in the process.
So Craig found himself with in a muddy trench that the tractor tracks have led him to. This became to frustrate the lucky man. Where was he going to find someone to jumpstart his car now? He decided to continue his search along the trench.
Which was his first mistake.
By absentmindedly walking, Craig was nit pay attention to his surroundings. The rest of the path look seemingly harmless, until it didn't. He miss place a step, causing him to slip into a conveniently human sized puddle that was placed in front of him.
Landing face first, the mud immersed his handsome face, hair, green hat and suit, before the slacks were next. Infuriated that his emerald colored suit was mucked up now, Craig slowly rose up revealing his mud coated face. Getting to his knees, Craig soon trashed his black slacks, dress socks, and dress shoes, even more so for the latter. Slowly rising, he got to his feet, before trying to clean off the mud on his front side.
And his second mistake came into play.
One step back caused the man to slip on to his back side, allowing more mud to seep into his once green outfit. Craig grew annoyed to this time as the murky contents, plunged him into a dark brown appearance. After a while of attempting to stand, he got tired so he resorted to sitting in the quarry, doing his best to ignore the mud that continued to engulf his body. He saw his knees and tips of his shoes at best as he sat there to catch his breath. He also accidentally dunked his head into the mud briefly, before coming to and get out it of the mud, his hat lost in the process.
After the twenty five minutes of attempting and falling back and forth in the mud pit, Craig finally got out... with a muddy appearance of course.
The luckiest man was now a soggy mess, mud having adorned his new appearance. The mud had given him a naturally facial and mucked his hair, having been exposed as the hat drifted in the mud. The once shiny green suit, tie, and vest were dampened with brown now, given him an almost camouflage look but was more brown. His exposed portion of his white dress shirt was stained in mud as well, loosing their cleanliness as a whole. The silver cuff links he wore were tarnished from the exposure and his black slacks were soggy, clinging to his legs and undergarments. His black dress socks and dress shoes had lost their black atheistic, now sporting a nice brown coating.
Craig, while annoyed about his luck finally running out -evident by his recent experience-, could only sigh at this development. He was not presentable for the party, his phone was dead, and is stranded on the countryside. Cutting his losses, the now unlucky man headed to his car.
Hopefully someone would come by and not ask questions about he received a natural mud treatment. Plus he is technically wearing green still...
