 Love you, too

With her usual poise and professionalism, 26-year-old KMTV meteorologist Samantha DeSoto concluded the final check of the midday weather and threw it back to the anchor desk. With seconds remaining in the newscast, she provided anchor Melissa Collins with the perfect prompt for a skillful segue:
"Looking at the extended forecast, rain moves out by the early hours of Thursday morning. Then, skies clear with temperatures warming into the low to mid 90s. The heat and humidity is really going to build this weekend, so you're going to want to find creative ways to stay cool out there..."
Smiling, Melissa didn't miss a beat:
"Samantha, I hear that you will be staying cool in a very creative way on Friday evening and it's going to involve a lot of Jello..."
With cheerful trepidation, Samantha explained:
"That's right, Melissa. I will be at the MetroArts Foundation's first annual 'Gelatin Plunge' event to benefit some amazing programs for Children's Hospital of Omaha. Believe it or not, I have bravely accepted a challenge to slide into 1,000 gallons of strawberry gelatin, live on the air. I'm a little nervous, but it's for a great cause. The fun begins at 6:00 PM Friday at Lewis and Clark Landing."
"That's going to be a little messy." Laughed Melissa in the newscast's remaining seconds. "We can't wait to see what Samantha looks like when she comes out of that gelatin!"
Samantha felt butterflies in her stomach. A sensation of tingly, throbbing orgasmic pleasure oozed slowly through her body. Through her entire weather segment she had started to feel wet. She couldn't believe that the long-awaited 'Gelatin Plunge' was now only two days away. She sensed that a large segment of her viewers would love nothing more than to see a beautiful young female television meteorologist slide into a giant vat of Jello. She kept telling herself that it was all just innocent fun.
Community engagement had been Samantha's passion from her first day at KMTV Channel 3, the CBS affiliate in Omaha, Nebraska. Six months earlier, she had met Dan Bauer, the marketing director for the MetroArts Foundation. They had started dating and she sensed that the relationship was becoming more serious by the day. It was over dinner one night that Dan described the wacky 'Gelatin Plunge' fundraising event that the Foundation planned for the second Friday of June.
"We would love to see a few local celebrities take the plunge." Dan said, teasingly.
The not-so-subtle hint was presented jokingly. Surely, a woman as intelligent and sexy as Samantha would laugh and politely decline such a silly and mildly demeaning proposition. Samantha answered with an endearing eagerness that took Dan by surprise:
"Wow, that sounds like a blast! I would love to do something like that! Maybe I could even convince the station to feature it as a live shot during the 6:00 show."
Samantha knew that this kind of stunt would do little for her on-air credibility. She valued her carefully cultivated image as a trusted scientist who could deliver essential information during a severe weather outbreak. Yet, in a flash, another more powerful impulse took hold. Samantha imagined what it would feel like to submerge her entire body in 1,000 gallons of Jello. The thought appealed to a vague erotic fantasy that had long been lurking in the back of her mind. Like sex, it would be decadent, slippery, messy, and pleasurably tactile. She could tell by the way Dan looked at her that similar unspoken fantasies played in his mind.

At 1:00 PM on Friday afternoon, Samantha completed her shift and headed home from the station. 'Action 3 News' was hyping her impending 'plunge' relentlessly, raising the public profile of the event. Samantha found the attention terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. "Tune in on Friday. You're not going to want to miss seeing our own meteorologist Samantha DeSoto slide into 1,000 gallons of strawberry gelatin!" At her college station, Samantha had once narrowly escaped the indignity of having a pie thrown in her face at the end of a weather cast. Now, she would submit to something equally ridiculous in front of many more viewers in a professional TV market.
Samantha prided herself on the clothing she wore on the air. This evening would be different for obvious reasons. Many of the participants would be wearing swimsuits, but that would be too overtly sexy and unprofessional. Samantha had decided to wear short black dolphin shorts and a white tank top. She would pack a towel and a change of cloths for afterwards.
It was 5:45 PM when an 'Action 3 News' live truck arrived on the scene. A large crowd was already gathering under a giant tent at the riverfront festival space of Lewis and Clark Landing. Music throbbed from a sound system, adding to the party like atmosphere. Days earlier, volunteers had made 1,000 gallons of gelatin in previously unused trash containers. The jiggly desert had been refrigerated to achieve the perfect gooey consistency. Now, amused spectators stepped forward to catch a glimpse of the incredible sight of 1,000 gallons of Jello filling the giant tub. It was at least five feet deep. A ladder led to a strategically placed slide that would send brave participants hurtling into the bright red desert. The strong smell of strawberry flavoring hung in the air.
Samantha was co-emceeing the event with Mike Alonzo, a local radio disc jockey. The general 'sliding' was scheduled to begin at 6:30. Sliders had collected pledge money from friends and family members. Samantha's 'slide' would be strategically timed for the final minute of the 6:00 newscast. The wait was delightfully torturous. Samantha's heart pounded and her body tingled with anticipation. Realizing that she would end up fully submerged, she pulled her shining, shoulder-length chestnut brown hair into a neat ponytail.
And then the music cut out and they got the signal to start. Samantha stepped out of her flip flops and stood barefoot in front of the crowd, joining her emcee partner, Mike. She could see the KMTV camera man and Dan.
Microphone in hand, Samantha started off by energizing the crowd:
"Has anyone out there every seen this much Jello?"
The crowd erupted in laughter and cheers.
"I'm Samantha DeSoto from Action 3 News. I'm thrilled to be here this evening with Mike Alonzo from 107.5-'The Breeze.' The money raised today benefits a really awesome cause. It helps to fund music therapy programs at Children's Hospital of Omaha. And yes, in a few moments I will be going down that slide and taking the plunge."
The crowd cheered with earsplitting enthusiasm.
Mike picked it up from there:
"Samantha, as you said, you are just a minute or two away from plunging into 1,000 gallons of gelatin. Tell me, how are you feeling?"
"I'm excited. I have to admit, I'm a little nervous because I've never done anything like this before."
"It's important that the slide is slippery enough to send Samantha right into that Jello." Said Mike. "I think they're taking care of that now."
The crowd cheered in delight as a crew of guys shook up cans of whipped cream and squirted them on the slide, creating a thick, gloppy coating. Samantha felt her heart leap into her throat. She worked hard to conceal her growing arousal. And now, the moment that she had been anticipating had come.
"Are we ready?" She giggled, meekly.
"I don't think we're ever going to be more ready." Joked Mike. "Let's hear it for Samantha DeSoto!"
The crowd cheered. Barefoot, Samantha slowly climbed the ladder. She had decided to go in feet first. When she reached the top of the platform, she prepared herself. Taking a seat at the top of the slide, her smooth, well-shaped legs and bare feet sank into a thick layer of cool whipped cream. Her shorts and white tank top were still immaculate. The crowd cheered with unbelievable intensity. The camera was rolling, sending the spectacle into countless living rooms. Samantha's eyes connected with Dan's as the crowd started a countdown.
"Five...Four...THREE!!!...TWO!!!...ONE!!!"
Samantha pushed off and felt the cool, gooey whipped cream coat her legs and shorts. Then, SPLAT! For a split second before she submerged, Samantha could feel her bare legs hit the gelatin. Then, it devoured her. It was incredibly cold. It felt like squishy, gooey, jiggling quicksand. She held her breath and clenched her eyes shut as her head submerged. Soon, she was able to get her head above the Jello again. She could hear the cheers and laughter of the crowd only faintly, because her ears were full. She enjoyed the unique sensation of moving her legs and arms in the slimy, sticky gelatin. Then, slowly and with difficulty, she stood up. She was consumed in gelatin from head to foot. It felt heavy. She could feel it coating her hair, covering her tank top, filling the space between her breasts, and dripping from her legs. She got out and a microphone was thrust to her mouth.
"How did that feel, Samantha?" Asked Mike. "Would you do it again?"
"I would totally do it again!" Giggled Samantha, still dazed.
As the other sliders lined up in preparation for their own plunge, Samantha was led to the hose down area. Dan was waiting, hose in hand.
"That was awesome!" Samantha giggled. "I have you to thank for that."
"Good, I'm glad you aren't angry." Came the joking response.
A second later, she shrieked as a cold blast of water hit her.
"Ok, now I'm angry!" She giggled.
"You looked great in that Jello, by the way."
"I'm not sure I will be putting that on my 'talent reel' any time soon. It will definitely be making the blooper reels."
Dan held the hose and Samantha massaged the jello out of her hair. She pushed clumps of gooey gelatin out or her cleavage. It took a few minutes for her to get clean. She would still need a shower when she got home. Perhaps Dan would join her for that shower. She sensed that he would like nothing more. He would never forget the occasion when her glorious, sensuous body became fully submerged in gelatin.
