Mr. Smith, a clumsy bakery owner, decides to organize a pie contest to promote his business. However, his clumsiness and the presence of his mischievous cat turn the event into a total chaos.

While the participants are busy decorating their pies, Mr. Smith's cat, bored, decides to jump on the table, causing all the pies to fall on the floor in a sticky mess. Desperate to salvage the situation, Mr. Smith tries to clean up the mess, only to slip on a puddle of icing and fall face-first into one of the pies.

As the guests try to contain their laughter, Mr. Smith decides to proceed with the contest, but each attempt to present a new pie results in more disasters. One pie accidentally flies into the face of a judge, while another ends up sticking in a customer's hair.

In the end, with all the participants covered in cream and Mr. Smith unrecognizable with so much filling, the contest is declared a complete failure. However, to everyone's surprise, the customers had so much fun with the confusion that they end up coming back to Mr. Smith's bakery to try his disastrously delicious pies again.
